Wow...I like how the opening dialogue seems like a continuation of that of Bale's VO in the first teaser:
Bale/Wayne:"I went around the world, searched in all the shadows and there was something out there in the darkness"
Neeson/Ducard:"You've travelled the world, now you must journey inwards to what you truly fear.."

Also trying to piece together shots like
some of the shots from the Monorail sequence as well as the car chase, Batman jumping down the staircase in Arkam
and that awesome shot of Batman standing on the ledge of the roof in Gotham with his cape blowing in the wind.

Also paid extra attention to the trailer's score too since if James Newton Howard composed the piece then it's going to give you an idea of the film's overall soundtrack.

Overall...June 17th can't come quick enough :D

The trailer needs to explain to the moviegoers out there that this isn't just a "BATMAN MEETS VILLAIN, EASY GOIN'" movie with fruit-tacular lighting everywhere.

And it does it. :)

Yup that's just what I was going to say... a serious gritty Batman movie, more in line with the first two movies IMO.

Looks good, I'm there.

Yeah, it does. It's also boring and typical. It's more like a teaser than a full trailer. Is there another trailer coming?

On the plus side, the few images of the
Batmobile action EXTRAVAGANZA
look sweet. :D

No, they're going to stop advertising the movie 6 months before its release.

Seriously, while there will definitely be another trailer, I doubt it'll be out for a few more months. Maybe with Constantine, which is out February 18th.

Unless it's just the trailer AVI, the film has a really retro look to it. Maybe it's just a product of the industrial look they were shooting for.

It's hard to explain, but it looks like there's a filter or something running over the film.

Screw the first two movies- those were Burton gothic bile-tacular. Nolan's Batman is gritty and realistic.

In form, it appears so. And while the film is certainly more gritty and realistic than previous Batman films, the film will still have some over-the-top comic book-style action. Nothing too unrealistic, but the type of action worthy of a superhero. That's whats in the script at least, especially in the final act.

No film with a million Ninja and a batmobile that looks like a battle tank should be referred to as realistic. :/ Gothic and Batman go hand in hand.

I'm so glad that they're showing how he got to be a skilled fighter rather than the perception that hits parents are killed and he just put on a suit to kick some ass.

Looks good. Can't go wrong with the cast and it'll be interesting to see Nolan's take on batman.

Not to derail the thread, but am I the only one who thinks the first batman is the best superhero movie ever? Batman returns was entertaining but not a great movie. The spiderman movies are entertaining too, but definitely not classics.

Original Batman was the 3rd best superhero movie ever.

To me Superman still sets the standard. I never thought I would say this, but Spiderman2 is probably better then the first Batman movie.

Regardless, I am really pysched for this movie, that was a really cool teaser trailer. The last 2 Batman movies left such a bad taste in everyone's mouth, when they tried to make Batman into the the Ambiguously Gay Duo.

c'mon, its still more than half a year til the movie hits, you can't expect a blowout 5 minute long trailer. Supposedly there is supposed to be another one hitting in Feb. (Super Bowl?)

anyway, i thought it was badass.
