Batman V Superman Final Trailer

You know, whenever I ask random people about BVS, I rarely get a "can't wait for that fight" reaction.

I usually just get a "why the hell are they fighting?"

Was making it a versus movie a bad idea?

so fucking good. Arkham Asylum combat brought to life here.

That's more like Arkham Knight combat, Batman actually uses items around him to knock the guys into just like in Based Arkham Knight.

Good to see Frank Miller's Batman kicking ass and taking no names.

Purely anecdotal, but the guys sitting next to me earlier today during a screening of The Force Awakens said, "That looks fucking stupid," upon viewing the BvS trailer. This after reacting positively to the Gods of Egypt trailer. This is their target audience, ffs.

Pieced together some of the fight

Not to bring Marvel into this, but that trailer (despite the shit music) looks better than most of theirs. I think maybe it's just the action junkie in me though.

You know, I really have no problem with the music. It is supposed to make the trailer (and movie) feel like a high octane action flick. Which makes sense since it is attached to Deadpool.

You guys think Batman solo films are going to be prequels with a different lead? Considering how old Batman is in Dawn of Justice.

I don't think so. I get the impression that Flash (probably before JL), Aquaman (definitely before BvS) will be. No idea what they're doing with Shazam, some speculate Black Adam might be in Justice League, so his story could segue into Shazam which would take place befor JL: Part 2.

The rumor for the Batman movie was under the red hood, which involves an older batman.

Honestly, I hope not. I want to see some Bat-Family shenanigans play out, they've already done young solo Batman in so many film. Give me Redhood set shortly after BvS.

Not a chance. The anchor point for this entire universe will be Affleck and his Batman. He can simply cut the hair a little shorter, color it, and get a little leaner (similar to his The Town physique) and pull it off.

I really don't understand why based on this trailer, which is just images without any real focus, people all of a sudden think this movie looks good.

I don't. I still think it won't be much more than a shallow, entertaining watch, but at least Batman really knows kung-fu this time, and Wonder woman looks so kawaii, so it's got something right.

Quick question (potential spoilers?) :

Are they literally assembling the whole justice league by the end of the film? That poster with the three, flash, cyborg, and aquaman just made me cringe. Please don't overstuff this movie DC!

Then why
are cyborg, aquaman, and flash in the casting details?

Spoilers.

After Wonder Woman's nightmare (which we've seen in the trailers), she visits an Oracle to try and get a better sense of how accurate that future she foresaw in her vision is.

While doing that, she gets a glimpse of The Flash. As we all know, Flash can time-travel as well as hop between universes, so he takes it from there and we see more flashes (pun somewhat intended) of the future where the whole league is united.

It's not happening in the movie per se, it's more like a vision within a vision and it helps to set up the following movies.

The cool thing is that we see kind of like a montage of each member of the league (well, the ones that have already been cast) in their element, so to speak. So Aquamomoa is riding dolphins atop a tsunami, and Cyborg is in a virtual reality world not unlike Tron's. I think they even hint at Green Lantern (that part is CGI though because no GL has been cast yet).

Sources: my uncle owns a comic store and my ass.

Really? I honestly don't mind that it's a VS movie and I feel like what I've seen so far in trailers does a good enough job of explaining why it's a VS movie.

In any case, I think it would be... let's say a disservice to the Batman character to not explore his lone-wolf/sociopathic behavior (JL: Tower of Babel). Either they do it now and set it up for future movies or they start like friends and then show Batman's descent into madness and eventual "betrayal" of the JL.

But going back to the issue, Superman/Kryptonians came out of nowhere. First ever contact with alien civilization, an entire city leveled and humankind almost destroyed while the planet was terraformed. I can totally see where Batman is coming from in seeing Superman as a potential thread that needs to be examined.
