I'm convinced, Affleck is gonna be an amazing Batman. Smirks, the chin, everything. WB you proved me wrong, Ben Affleck is fucking Batman.

Aw man you guys are a bunch of Debbie Downers. This looked great and will hype many. They showed a lot but if you're worried about that... Don't watch trailers I guess?

Some of the dumb dumb shit I see people complaining about is minuscule. Oh well. My hopes and hype level is high. Can't wait for March.

Girl I don't care how angry? you look at the camera, until I hear at least 3 lines of dialogue from you that are not wooden as fuck I'm still apprehensive about you as WW.

I feel like the final shot is something produced just for marketing purposes. It just looks too damn awkward.

It's a Justice League group shot, just like you see in the Avengers movies.

which basically means the movie's gonna be shit for Doomsday, who some would argue deserves a better treatment than a random last 30 minute baddie

there's no winning this

tho to be fair shit was already wack by getting zod involved and whatever the hell they're doing

Doomsday doesn't really deserve any better than that. I'd rather they get it out of the way if they have to do it at all.

Even in Death of Superman he's still Rampaging Monster.

i'm surprised the trailer sold me on wonder woman's look though. always though gal gadot was so wrong for the part, but visually that shield shot was on point.

now...let's hear her talk.

Dayum, I liked the trailer, but I think they showed too much. Especially together with the last trailer, who was also quite long, you can already piece together the movie. Hope they still have surprises/ plot twists left. I would have saved
Wonder Gal and Doomsday
for the actual movie.

I think DC really doesn't need to set up all the solo films as much as Marvel did because people actually know who Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman are. Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America weren't exactly big names -
not even Marvel Comics' biggest sellers
- when their movies came out.
Sure, but I'm not proposing a MOS sequel in preparation for a JL buildup or anything like that. I just want another solo movie focused on him developing as a character and dealing with new problems without the rest of the DC Trinity coming in.

i dunno, imo if you thought avengers looked great and this looks bad (and vice versa) there might be some weird company bias going on here.

that's what this trailer reminded me the most of. down to that scene with the giant alien worm and doomsday's intro, to scarlett's awful "that's not a party" line and the batman/superman "I thought she was with you"

and also a final shot of the entire gang. they want that marvel money with this one. god damn I hope this trailer is almost entirely misleading.

Thought the same. Love the SDCC trailer and braced for the released film to be lighter tonally. Now I want and expect the film to meet in the middle of the two. Much as I enjoy Marvel films, last outcome I want is The Avengers with DC characters. Want both to hit different tastes.

They would be wrong, though.

Doomsday is pretty much entirely one-note, and any attempts to expand on that have been uniformly terrible.

With Bruce "dying" of an heart attack?

The climax would have no...climax if it was just them fighting each other. At some point you know they'll stop because they'll figure out they're all good. Something like Starro or Max Lord controlling Superman would fit I guess.

With batman using wit (and green arrow) to defeat superman and make the point that he's not above humanity, and that the best of humanity can stand toe to toe with him when needed be, and for him to remember it.

Basically for Batman to put Superman in his place, like the whole first half of this trailer seemed like it was building to.

This is... embarrassing. Why is Lex Luther acting like some byproduct of a Riddler/Joker/Harley quinn orgy?

Save us Suicide Squad.

Granted we pretty much all knew Doomsday was going to be in this, but I was kind of hoping they wouldn't show him in the trailers.

Hollywood gotta Hollywood.

Also Lex is giving me Batman Forever vibes...

Doomsday's THE physical threat, tho. that's kinda my point. and I always envisioned it as Superman goin at him alone

not saying he aint shit, tho.

but its clear they have a very different/whatever take on the character

Well can't say this hyped me up as much as the Civil War trailer. Feel like I know exactly how the movie is going to play out now too with everything they've shown. And looks like they're trying to cram a hilarious amount of JL setup in the movie. With that said I can't complain since I'm watching this a week early for free. Thank you WB for giving people who watched the IMAX teaser footage free tickets.

I feel so sad because to me these three are the GOAT apart from Spidey. Like I literally dont care about any other super hero. So when Marvel films turn out bad like AoU I shrug. This will hit me hard if it sucks and I dont see any other outcome other than that.

I have no doubt he'll pull off a good Bruce Wayne, but personally I'm just like "ah man can't he be a bit more of the outgoing playboy Bruce Wayne?"

But then again, since we already get a hint that Robin might have died a la Death of the Family, it makes sense that Bruce at this point in his life would be super depressed and angry all the time.

All I can say is if you think the trailer somehow spoiled that Batman and Superman would work together by the end of the film, and/or would not be fighting for the whole movie, you are extremely dense and I wonder if you still believe in Santa.

As they're straight up addressing all complaints from MoS in this movie, I would laugh my ass off if they reverse Superman's execution of Zod by having Doomsday revert back to humanoid Zod by the end of the movie, getting exiled to the Phantom Zone in the process.

Luthor's dialogue is so bad, I felt like he was gonna wink at the camera. "Oh hey, it's Bruce Wayne meeting Clark Kent!" *wink* "Wow, what a strong grip Clark!" *wink* "Wouldn't wanna get in a fight with yooooooou, am I right???!!!!" *wink*

Yeah besides the music that was the worst part of the trailer. He seemed awesome in that older preview, but he was freaking terrible in this one. Mainly because of the lines.

Terrible trailer. The whole thing just feels disjointed and weird. Really a let down from the first trailer, which felt like it had a solid sense of purpose and identity. It felt like it knew what type of film it was selling.

Doomsday wrecked Superman in the comics, he is the perfect excuse for a teamup. The character itself is just a crappy excuse of a threat for Superman, Doomsday is not interesting and is only famous for that cover of Death of Superman cover.

Doesn't deserve an entire movie, even the Justice League cartoon made fun of him in that scene where he says "I only exists to destroy Superman" or something similar.

.. or it could drive home the point that Luthor knows who each of them are..

That's not the point, we haven't seen them chummy until now.

Seeing them getting along effectively evaporates all the tension the past trailers built up about their clash, sure we all knew they'd reconcile, but it should've been saved for the movie.

lmao that'd be the mother of all copouts. i commend them for addressing the threat of superman though. bruce wayne sounds pretty damn pissed about it especially.
