They're all great depending upon the writer. I love Peter Parker, some really human moments in his stories. And Wally West Flash was great reading at times.

I think he said no to the idea that Jenny Olsen was a gender-swapped Jimmy, though personally I think that was always the intention and they backpedaled on it after the fact. But Jimmy is still possibly in play now.

For a movie like this, 3 months isn't the longest time. And yeah, the assumption is they're doing this back to back with Justice League, but who knows what stage that script is in.
I get what you're saying and am going to split hairs, but it's a little different... the original WB Press Release stated:
So nothing in the press release was a lie, they just omitted the fact that Miranda Tate was an alias for Talia and Blake's other name was Robin.
Contrast that against the Press Release for BvS, if they aren't original characters the press release will be an affirmative lie... an actual falsehood, as opposed to a mere omission, unless you contort the release to mean characters from the comics so adapted that they become original.
Off the top of my head I can't think of any outright lie in a WB press release.
