Battalion Wars (GC) - Trailer + Screens

It used to have multi-player at e3 2004. They pulled it for some reason, couldn't make it work well because the player needs the whole screen I suppose.

It's like Nintendo doesn't even know they have a LAN adapter available. They could have at least used that.

This game was a blast to play at E3 --- even in its unpollished state, I came back to it more than any game at E3 (besides of ShadowofColossus)

It really made me aware that there arent many fun shooters that just aim at being *fun* --- a nice simple dose of strategy sealed the deal.

Hell my gf is even buying a Cube to get this game (and not Zelda) after she played it at E3 ----

EDIT: man, the fog really didn't seem that bad in the actual gameplay --- the sense of scale was almost on par with a Battlefield title...... maybe 'cause they aren't showing many screen-shots from the normal grunt characters.....
Anyways, the character weight/animation and the physics of the tank were some of the best ever.

Thanks for the impressions.. especially about weight/animation, I really like it when characters feel right.

Too bad about multiplayer. Maybe we'll get a revolution sequel with an online mode.

Judging by your avatar, you'll love how the tank feels :D

My buddy Prom is doin' some outside freelance (for vehicle concepts, and hopefully cover-art) --- here's the poster he did at E3: http://www.flickr.com/photos/heilemann/14605576/

He says the later vehicles in the game are just gonna be insane-batshit awesome and huge. especially if you really dig on MetalSlug type art-direction.

Yeah, it's funny. Since the first screens I saw of this game, I was reminded of ms.

This looks like Advance Wars' anal drippings.

I'm glad this had a name change so it's not officially affiliated with one of Nintendo's GREATEST FRANCHISES EVER. This is just an embarrassment. If I were the director of Advance Wars I would fly over to Kuju and whip out my motherfucking two-by-four and TAKE NO PRISONERS.

Cutscenes!? Voice acting!? WTF!!!

ProTip: Avoid using MS Comic Sans as your in-game font

thanks for the impressions sammy :D

i heard nintendo talked with kuju about the rev and ds so a sequel with multi is possible :)

the title of the franchise is "WARS", Advance Wars just signifies the (duh) Gameboy ADVANCE version, before that they were called Famicom Wars and Gameboy Wars. how is it still not affiliated?
