What happened? The 2 top guys at the enemy team were great, great players.
When I saw you change squads I thought you were going to rip our teammates a new one and I guessed we were not going to make it.
It didn't help that I'm rusty as hell, but those 2 guys were clearly better than me even when I'm playing at my best.
We started winning by a big margin, then those guys joined and we slowly started losing ground to the point that they captured all flags, and then we finally managed to capture A and when they tried to get A back we capped B and C until the end.

I got out of our squad to have a different squad spawn on my beacon. At that point you had one at A and I had mine at B but you guys were too busy trying to hold A and I was by myself in B. It ended up helping a lot since the dudes in my squad had mics and after yelling to them for a bit they started to cooperate
So input-lag is still in?

People talking about input lag? Played for 450 hours and never noticed anything like it. Must be the tv or something.
I have no input-lag on my other games when i play them, but when i played BF3 : input-lag! Yeah it's not my tv.
Bandar Desert rush, running from the second station to the third over the desert. Bullets flying left and right, proper Band of Brothers type running moment. Tanks trying to flank you on both sides, snipers trying to take you out. And in my ears "The Nomad" by Iron Maiden. Pure fucking awesomeness. I love the new maps.

8 months! i wouldn't call the first fix a fix, but the second one was solid.

I like these maps but console wise they're too big and not enough interesting things to do.
And seeing how console BF3 is like some weird world where you'll be lucky to find someone with a mic it makes matches even more deader.
B2K has shown up modern DICE as the bums they are. Those maps were perfect. Big enough to get lost in but the action was focused around specific areas that spread the battle around the city. And you could level buildings. There is a reason those maps are popular.
In fact I hope the next map pack takes those as the basis not shit like that horrible marketplace one.

was gonna get on and play some tonight
my 80GB MGS4 phatty just hit the YLOD
with BF3 disc inside it! After about 10 tries I was able to get it to spit out the disc thank god.
I've got PS+ so I'm not worried about any of my saves. All I need to do is deactivate my old system via the website correct? Not gonna be fun re-downloading all those patches and maps again
My only worry is with online passes. Online passes and premium and such I'll still be able to download that again once my old machine is deactivated right? Is there any reason I'd want to try the hairdryer trick and do a data transfer to my new system? Or am I better off just re-downloading everything?

this is the first weekend the non-PS3 non-Premium people have with Armored Kill, i bet that's a factor...

Yes, you can re-download the online passes. That's how I'm still playing BF3 after my Phat died.
Its better re-downloading all the patches again.

Yes you'll be able to redownload your online pass.

I've returned to some BF 3 recently and completely forgot about butthurt admins. For the majority of the game I was using KH2002 but then I switched to SPAS-12 with 12g slugs and head shotted an entire admin squad lol. It was pathetic they kept on trying to revive each other. Then I got kicked.
Eh. Admins are so terrible on console.
Was playing Metro yesterday (I know, I know) and the admin switched over everyone who was Colonel 50+ to his team and everyone else (90% low ranks) on mine. I was going something like 37-6 and then he banned me because I had a 7-1 nemisis streak on him.
Needless to say my team got absolutely destroyed after that.

Its not a console admin thing, I recently got the game for PC, got banned from the server for using a grenade.

About the admins, I don't know, in my case I have 73 hours in PC and 238 hours in PS3, and I have the feeling that the console admins are very very childish. That's why people if don't like childish admins and like the vanilla settings should stick to the official servers.
By the way, I'm discovering the excellent performance of the Recon class in Armored Kill with semiautomatic rifles for medium-long range and great support for the team with MAV & SOFLAM. With decent aim you're able to destroy the other classes
