but knife 5 friends is easy to game and mcom defender actually makes people defend the objectives, this one is just gonna have people bailing on jets after a kill and waiting in the spawn for a tank.

Getting someone out of a jet and into a tank isn't necessarily a bad thing!

Unless they take my tank. :/

Very. Unless you can put it to better use than I can.

I'm sure you could take care of business... but I fucking know there isn't a smurf on the team that's going bring the pain like I (or other gaffers) can.

As soon as I see a jet spawn on the spawn screen tonight/tomorrow I'm going Assault and hoping to luck out on a kill there. Then I'm going to climb, bail out and free-fall before landing somewhere. Take someone out while they're preoccupied and then find a tank hopefully and luck out. >_>

Getting the Jet kill is going to be the PITA more so than the staying alive.

They're also nerfing miniguns damage on choppers and jets...yeah, I'll never shoot a chopper while gunning in a tank again.

At least they're fixing the bug with the TUGS not awarding surveillance ribbons, and they're nerfing the frag rounds on automatic shotguns...just as I'm about to unlock then...

Fixed a problem with spawn timer now showing blue border on startup and lost spawn point
Fixed a problem where player who joined queuing on End of round got spawn screen stuck on screen, but unable to do anything with it untill next round loaded
Fixed a problem where camera would change to 3rd person on killcam when killcam was turned off in server settings
Fixed stat references on several dogtags
Fixed for surveillance ribbon not counting TUGS
Fixed a missing combat area lines on the minimap for Grand Bazaar conquest small
Moved a tank spawn in US base on Caspian Border so it would not be destroyed by a falling tree
Fixed a problem where placing C4 with the russians soldier was playing US faction VO
Fixed a problem where TV guided missiles could be shot into its own helicopter and destroy it
Fixed a problem when attempting to fire lock on weapons without a target
Tweaked the chat, it should now be a bit easier to read

Added a network interpolation setting. This allows users with good bandwidth reduce latency, but might increase some stuttering. The user can find what works best for his connection by tweaking the slider.

Fixed so the weapon zooms automatically after bipod deploy is gone when using zoom toggle

Balance Tweaks

Fixed several weapons so they are properly suppressed and hide the player on the minimap when fired.
Tweaked Tactical Light so it is not as blinding over longer ranges.
Tweaked the IRNV scope so it is limited to usage only at close range.
Reduced heat masking effectiveness of Spec Ops Camo.
Fixed a bug where Ammo spec would give additional 40mm grenades instead of Frag spec.
Increased the number of additional 40mm grenades from Frag spec.
Fixed so AT mines only live for 20 seconds after a player dies to prevent infinite mines.
Increased the Time to Live on sniper caliber rounds to allow extreme distance shots.
Fixed several weapon descriptions, calibers, and fire rates. The weapons themselves have not changed.
Fixed so the M9 and MP443 pistol can be equipped by the opposing faction when it is unlocked at 100 kills.
Fixed Laser Guided Missiles missing their targets if the target is moving too fast.
Reduced the effectiveness of Stealth on Air Vehicles.
Reduced the effectiveness of Beam Scanning for Jets.
Reduced the damage done to Armored Vehicles and Infantry from AA guns.
Increased the damage RPGs and Tank shells do to AA vehicles.
Slightly decreased the accuracy for all weapons on fully automatic, burst fire is now preferable at mid to long range.
Increased the effective accuracy of long bursts for LMGs when using a bipod.
Slightly increased the range of the 44magnum bullets.
Increased the close range damage of 4.6x30mm and 5.7x28mm bullets.
Increased the reload time of the Mortar from 3.5sec to 4.8sec and increased the time it takes before a shell hits the ground.
Reduced the aimed accuracy bonus given by a Suppressor for the MP7, P90, PP2000, PP-19, and UMP45.
Increased the range and FOV for designating targets with the SOFLAM and vehicle Laser Designators.
Decreased the effectiveness of 12g FRAG ammo when equipped on semi-automatic and automatic shotguns.
Slightly Increased the power of Fighter Jet Cannons against all vehicle targets, especially Helicopters.
Decreased the power of Miniguns against Jets and Helicopters.
Increased the power of Stingers against Jets.
Flares reload times for Jets and Helicopter Gunners have been increased.
Tweaked the AN94 so its burst fire better conveys the real world advantage offered by this weapon.
Added Single Shot to the AN94 as an available fire mode.
Slightly increased the recoil on the M416 and removed the Burst Fire mode (this weapon incorrectly had burst fire, which was not authentic).
Tweaked the spawns for TDM on Kharg Island, Grand Bazaar, Caspian Border, Seine Crossing, Operation Firestorm, Damavand Peak and Noshahar Canals
Moved a tank spawn in US base on Caspian Border so it would not be destroyed by a falling tree
Tweaked the Gas station Capture area on Conquest on Caspian Border
Tweaked the max vehicle height on Noshahar Canals


Min player requirements

Also, it will once again be possible to reduce the number of players required to start a round to 1 both in ranked and unranked mode. We changed it back after getting a lot of negative feedback from both individuals and the RSP companies.

Our plan for the future is to introduce a warm-up mode, where players can move about and play the game, but with scoring disabled; then, when the number of players goes above the threshold -- that's when the real round starts.

Its just a 'placeholder' fix according to the Battlefieldo.com list:
Fixed so AT mines only live for 20 seconds after a player dies to prevent infinite mines. (We want to make a different fix in the future, it’s in JIRA).

They just updated the game trophies with the B2K ones. The "Complete Warrior" trophy requires 1 kill with an Assault Rifle, a tank and a jet...in a single fucking life.

There's no way I'm doing this. I suck with the jets... :-(

Stupid trophy/achievement.

I miss the BC1 versions of destroy 1000 trees. Something like that.

It does when you try to VSS it up with a x7/6 scope hopefully DICE will dlc it in because i'd buy a map pack for that alone.

On the AN-94 and some others it almost seems like DICE has something against Russian/Soviet weapons most of them suck when compared to US or European counterparts

Hi guys,

anyone have a weird issue after installing B2K, that consists in every time i spawn on a B2K map, i dont have any weapong, only the crossair. And if i choose to quit the game, the game crashes on 'Loading'. i have to restart the entire game.

It was working very good before B2K.

Oh shit! More recoil and no more burst fire? :( That'll make my favorite weapon far less fun. Good thing I already 5-starred it and moved on to other weapons for the most part.

AN-94 has a unique recoil mechanism that allows you to fire two shots, without recoil affecting the second bullet (as opposed to any other gun, where the recoil of the first shot will adversely affect the second shot). Effectively, as far as recoil goes, you get two shots for the price of one.

I'm at work and the link is blocked. So Wake Island is only going to be 3 flags? Or is that just for CQA? Normal conquest will have 5 flags?

3 flags on 24 players.
5 on 64 (so PC only)

No Conquest Assault in that mini-guide so I can't say. Probably safe to say it's 3 flags as well given the other CA maps there are 3 flags.

SMH. Looks like I'm sticking with Rush.

That is disappointing. Like eek5 said, I thought 5 flags worked great for 24 players on Wake in 1943. That was my favorite map in '43. I hate these 3 flag conquest maps.

Was excited when I got FAMAS. Then I saw the ironsight it has. Awful, just awful. Can't see anything through it. Luckily I got ACOG pretty quickly. Now I'm trying to unlock the second new assault weapon. First time trying the grenade launcher and it's good. Better than good, it's great. Even got a triple kill with it.

Maps are better than the vanilla BF3 maps. Sharqi peninsula is probably worst of the bunch. It's just too close quarters and I don't like the CQ layout and the buildings. Also Assault CQ is just bad.

Also, why isn't there a server with just B2K maps in its rotation? I just wanna play those.

I don't know what the deal is but I'm always stuck in games that are either about to lose or lose instantly. And even when I get into a game that is just starting or halfway through my team is total dumbfuckery. It's really hard to find a good squad -_-

I like what I see with the AN94 changes, but I think DICE should put ammo limits for the mortar and even longer reload times than 4.8 seconds.

I used to think the mortars were overpowered until I started using them regularly. The real problem is people are just stupid; you zero them in and they stand still. They're really easy to counter anyway. Enemy mortar units show up on your own mortar radar. Besides, it takes a direct hit to get a kill, anything less isn't a kill. They're also pretty useful against tanks too, not just infantry.

I'm not sure why anyone would want to nerf them really, the same people who bitch about snipers and camping are ironically the same people who want to nerf the best deterrent against them.
 
It looks like conquest assault has 3 flag maps and normal conquest is 5 flag maps, could be wrong.

yeah, the only thing that sucks is if you don't have mortars unlocked... if you do, it's free kills when you counter mortar!

DICE aren't doing a great job with game design/balancing but I'm really glad those people aren't in charge :lol

I'm kind of confused as to what kind of game they actually want

Downloading B2K now. Can't wait to play these maps again. Sorry I haven't been as active in here as I would have liked but I hope to get in on some GAF games again at some point, especially since I've gotten a lot better at the game than before.
