-Fixed a common server crash
-Fixed an exploit where a player could get unlimited ammo on mortars by redeploying them
-Fixed an issue where your score displayed in the scoreboard was cut in half during double xp events
-Removed the possibility for server admins to kick players on official servers by using PunkBuster
-Game mode counter can now be set up to 400% for Ranked servers and 500% for Unranked servers. In addition, idle time out can now be set up to 86 400 (24 hours) for both server types

This is ridiculous. Recons never mark targets. They are too busy hiding at the edge of the map or on a building.

Wasn't that already fixed? You CAN'T get a mortar from ammo boxes now. To "exploit" the ammo issue, you have to go to your mortar, pick it up. Quickly redeploy it and then get back into cover to shoot it some more.

Unless that's what they mean. In which case the mortar just got even more useless.

This is so true.
I haven't seen anyone get past the first set of objectives. Everyone just camps on the ship in nooks and crannies sniping all the people swimming to the carrier.

I have. On 64 AND 32 player servers.

Use the boats, RUSH the objectives, and for the love of god abuse the hell out of the attack boat while keeping it up.

Seen all the sets about 10 times on PC now.

On 64-players it's harder because of more players, but it isn't a terrible Rush map. You want terrible? Go to Hainan Resort and get back to me. I've only seen the full-sets ONCE and only seen second set five times in the 50 rounds I've played on that map. Attackers have NO chance if the AA is good and the defense grabs the RHIB's and swivels the guns around to where it 1) prevents the RHIB's from respawning on the attackers side and 2) gives infinite ammo machine guns to pick off swimmers and hammer the helicopters along with the AA.

And on 64-players it's BANANAS because the defense is so packed into that small area it's literally impossible to go anywhere without running into an enemy within microseconds.

Nope. All the other modes work occasionally.

I guess the only positive about this is that when conquest FINALLY works, most of your weapons will be ready to go with your preferred attachments.

Aim with L2, shoot with R2. Basically, the triggers. They're the best triggers I've ever used on a controller. Still not as good as L1/R1



I just reaally miss the responsiveness of R1...

But on the PS3 version you can shoot with R1 and aim with L1.

Can't believe this is still completely broken on PS4. Tried to play games last night and was kicked every single match. And I don't even try to play conquest anymore.
How a game like this gets shipped is beyond me. What a clusterfuck.
Never would have got it if I knew it'd be this bad. I'm used to Battefield having bugs for a while after release, but this is unplayable.

Mortar is ridiculously good on flood zone. I found the machine gun turret by E is also really useful as you can hit a good section of the rooftop. People are usually so focused on other players running around that they don't see either of these coming.

I never really used it much in BF3 but I am really enjoying it in this one. I like how they seem to be a little random on where they hit. If you land some hits on a tank or apc it does some decent damage.

BF2's launch was atrocious with hot fix patch after hot fix patch - in recent years, 1943 and BC2 barely worked at launch either.

Somehow by some miracle BF3 launched without many hitches and I thought DICE finally righted the ship. No go with 4. I love Battlefield so much that I put up with it . My friends always try to take a day off from work for a Battlefield launch - but we all know better - that shit aint going to work.

Once they finally do get the actual game working - it will be unbalanced as hell. The gameplay patches usually take DICE 6 months at the least to get it acceptable. Just how DICE rolls...

Usually I don't go this route... but when a company screws over their consumers this much, they owe something to their fans aside from just getting it fixed.

Their has to be something given on their end that shows that they know this isn't acceptable. Give us a 6th map pack for free. Give us money off of BF5 premium. I don't care what it is, as long as it costs them something. It will be a good reminder for an arrogant company that bragged about pulling it all together and avoiding a delay.

Fixed the Mortar Bug

I went from Skill division 7 to division 3 using that Mortar, was decimating the maps, I can not believe out of all the bugs they fixed that as a priority

On the other hand it will be nice to get back to shooting a gun again

BF3 all over again. I honestly don't know why DICE included them in the first place. Pre-nerf in BF3 they were annoying. Then once you played around with them post nerf as an anti-tank/LAV stealing tech, they became something of their own.

But hassling Infantry? Get out, they don't do enough damage kill.

And now in BF4 they hit random spots from where you target (so no more precision hitting tanks in the ass to disable quickly tank stealers), and need 2-3 hits on infantry to kill them.

And now can't respawn. Or get ammo quick enough to use them effectively.

Fuck it.

I'm actually ok with L2+R2 on PS4, and made the transition pretty quickly. (and I played A LOT of BF3/BF4 on PS3)
I think it helps that your finger naturally rest on the triggers now. Just need to train the brain to move UP for grenades and spot.

EDIT: Battlefield 4 Wikia lists the Bomber as a new vehicle. Bomber planes?

Nope. It's best with vehicle maps, IMO.

I've been surprisingly really enjoying the infantry only modes in BF4. I especially love Domination, it's such a fun, quick. intense experience. The destruction just makes things even more fun. I like all the modes really from what I've played. Operation Locker is a blast on 16 player pistol only domination.

it doesn't officially support phones. you would have to sideload it. someone said it works on nexus 5 but zooming and some buttons doesnt work

No. You have to do it like you said: Join and pray there is space on their team. Yes, it sucks.

You can join them however and if there's space on their team it'll let you over there... but at the cost of breaking them from their squad (of friends, most likely) to put them with YOU in a new squad.

I still don't get why the fuck Battle log is an actual fucking website with a plugin and not just the main menu of the game. When you want to play have it launch via the game and if you want to look at your stats and other shit online have them on a website like what Bungie did with Halo.
This just causes more problems than it's worth.

EDIT: I've appeared to fix it. Tried removing/uninstalling the battle log via control panel and reinstalling, didn't work. Went into the addons section (firefox) and into plugins and saw that it wasn't showing up right. Was like it wasn't installed correctly. Removed it from the list, re run the install and refreshed and now it's showing up right in the add-on list and battle log is letting me join a game.
Seems a bunch of people are getting this problem.

I ended up keeping my pre-order and went BF day 1... as unstable and crash heavy as it's been I've still had a shitload of fun. Need more of the old GAF crew to play with... randoms suck and none of them use their mic.
