Battlefield 6 Beta |OT| Open Beta/Closed Weapons.

Any way to make radar not zoom-in when you're in buildings?

Stuff in this game that truly sucks:

The comm rose is still gimped from previous games. No "go go go", option doesn't change to "Get In" when you're in a vehicle (still says "Need a pickup!"), I know it's beta but it's like these devs never played Battlefield, especially when it wasn't in one of the recent BF titles and people complained a lot about it.

Teammates running by you and not rezzing you. Even if they're the last people on a flag and no enemies are around, they'll still look around for enemies rather than come pick you up, even if you spam "E" to call out to them. I don't know how you fix this because it's a player behavior issue. It seems like they just gave everyone the ability to rezz in a previous Battlefield game to try and mitigate this but still nobody cares to play the game correctly and realize that tickets are a thing. You would think challenges would help with this, but they don't. Just give them less XP.

Spotting is automatic now when you are aiming at someone? Seems stupid, like players weren't playing the game correctly so they just dumbed it down. It's ramped down the stealth aspect a lot.

Suppression seemingly is very inconsistent. I can shoot a guy at point blank with the vehicle turret, hitting him before he shoots me, but he still manages to kill me. Vehicles are squishy enough as it is, they can be destroyed by one guy with an RPG, the suppression from their turret should do something.

The spotting definitely needs some work....the big problem is that It doesn't just spot enemies you look at. Even if they're just within your peripheral vision it will sometimes spot them and alert you to their presence.....so enemies that you'd normally miss because you're distracted or focused on something else will suddenly light up with a big marker on your screen.

The suppression is pretty much nonexistent. You can be spraying a sniper with a LMG and they'll still get a perfect headshot on you. Case in point:

Suppression only stops enemies health from automatically regenerating.

Just played a bunch of rounds and actually had fun. People even played as a team.

Had a really nice kill streak that was only possible because of someone resupplying ammo. Even got rezzed when someone finally killed me.

Perhaps queuing for closed weapons helped, or SBMM kicked in and put me in lobbies with more competent players.

My "pea shooter" weapon issue was also resolved by using a different weapon and actually upgrading it. Go figure lol.

I don't even mind that the current maps are smaller. I like the closed quarters chaos as long as people are playing as a team.

They don't have suppression right imo

Hell Let Loose does such a better job at it

Is there any way I can just play breakthrough or rush? Can't stand conquest and dont feel like quitting 5 times in a row in the all out war playlist.

Well thank you for posting this! But the video isn't very good.

It leads off with "omg he uses a crosshair overlay", which is a gigantic nothingburger. Most gaming monitors you'll buy will have their own integrated crosshair overlay option. Very weak case, if you're aimbotting for example a crosshair overlay isn't going to do anything for you. I have no idea why any game would prevent you from using them, though I am aware that some do. Every FPS should probably just have an in-game option to have a center dot up at all times. Circling back to the silliness about how many 'attempts at cheating' their 'new' anti-cheat stopped... this is probably the sort of thing they're talking about. Someone has their fucking crosshair overlay up and launches the game, the game says they can't use it... they shut it down and load the game again. CHEATING PREVENTED!!

After leading with that nonsense, it goes into the infamous 'shot him behind a wall oooopsie' clip. And immediately gets something completely wrong. He says that a player appears on the minimap as he's shooting. Nope. It's there before he engages the first guy before the big 90 degree flick. Actually if you look at the VOD (start at about 6m35s) there's a group that push the flag on the minimap. He has the info for a solid 10 seconds before looking over there...

Now he does have a point that the guy on the minimap is probably not the guy he kills after the flick (it maybe still could be because the spot expires, can't tell if there's enough time for the player to cover that distance though). To me it still looks like initial flick is way past the guy. Then he flicks back a bit and he is still past the guy (who is running right to left on the screen) then strafes across him leaving him to the left of the crosshairs as he actually becomes visible on the screen. There is a very bizarre jitter after the kill though.

And that's basically the extent of his case. Not too impressive. I did check out the 10IQ guy's video linked as well... there was a lot of crying about how the catgirl hasn't shown him his Steam or Tarkov accounts? Some nonsense about how he couldn't have that many hours in games having started up on PC in 2020 as if nobody ever moves up from consoles to PCs as they get more serious about shooters?

Then it's more crying about Enders' credibility, which is like... whatever? He simped for streamer chick that got banned?

Some stuff about how transgenders have mobilized to defend this dude just because he's transgender... which is true. I think most people who look at the original clip would have a gut feeling that it's cheating. I'm sure if it were a proper chud gamer in question, more trans would be calling him a cheater, and there would be more of a chud defense force. But none of that means anything.

There's some stuff about deleted VODs, which is like the beginning of a decent circumstantial case... but the VOD of the most controversial clip is still up... so I don't know. I don't see a VOD of the handcam BO6 stream, and then there's a handcam COD stream once the BF6 beta has shut down. I might try to look at the other 'proof' links at the bottom of the video later.

There's some stuff about "see he has this private account!" but doesn't substantiate how he knows what accounts belong to him. Multiple accounts that are tied to him with VAC bans would be a very good circumstantial case.

It's all very "you're guilty until you prove yourself innocent to me, a very important YouTuber!", and nobody is obligated to play that game.

That's just dumb.
The decision to go without any type of meaningful suppression is mind-boggling. As a LMG user I feel like a sniper, because you really only have a chance at anything but sniper range. I got the jump on some dude 50m away and he still killed me first with an SMG. I guess being shot at by a light machine gun improved his range and aim. They need to add some real effects to suppression or just take it out altogether and admit they don't want in their new vision of Battlefield.

I have been playing a lot of the beta, currently trying to get the last 2 rewards…

Maps are just incredible too small, and pairing this with many main hub social media comments, looks like this is to please the CoD fans. Which is a shame…

If they really stick with "unlocked weapons" at launch, I think I will think again if I should get it. If they are just making a better version of CoD ground war, I will just stick with Battlefield 4.

What if they made it so when you're near a teammate and you aren't aiming at an enemy or receiving active fire from an enemy, then you get a ton of annoying HUD alerts to rezz the nearby teammate?

Tank battles, team helping each other along with tanks and jeeps and destroying building to crush the enemies and dog fights of jets are so satisfying. And I cannot believe it has good IQ and frame rate even on my base PS5 with all that mayhem.

Yeah, I have to say that hit reg feels nice and crispy on PC, certainly on a controller at least. My only complaint would be the usual getting downed while running around a corner for cover, which in this game feels as rough as XDefiant.

I had a couple good rounds in the IFV. I finished 2nd on my team and 3rd overall after spending nearly the entire round in the IFV. Had a bunch of dudes repairing me and everything. We lost by like 500 tickets though :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Had a decent time in the tank yesterday too.

I really gave this a chance but I just cant get into it.

It's just too much shooty shooty rush rush bang bang for me. Absolutely no idea what the fuck is going on 99% of the time. Too old :D

I don't see why it would. Controller aim assist is better than M&K these days. This isn't 2014.
I'd say for core COD that's true. Very true for close quarters fights in Warzone, aim assist just shreds. In Battlefield I think m+k is probably the play. Longer sightlines = m+k. And hipfire is a lot more viable for close quarters than it is in COD, which is big for m+k players. But the big companies are definitely tuning in favor of controller as that's where the money is.

I forgot how frustrating BF can be when you're playing with morons. Everybody around can revive you, yet everyone just rushes around and leaves you to die.

So... what's the probability that the enemy team is 100% made up of hackers and cheaters?
Theoretically, you could do this. The game allows you to have 4 people in a squad max, but if you're friends on Steam or Origin you can join the same server (might put you on opposite team).

I really doubt this level of coordination would happen. The kind of people using DMA cheats probably want to remain as low profile as possible.

Same dude. It's pure chaos, and not in a good way. It's bf for the zero attention span generation. I'm also too old. I need the huge maps and open spaces of bf4.

I actually felt that too. Less instant 5 bullets on my body whenever enemies turn their head.

Someone in here was getting blocked from starting the beta because of virtual controller software.

Such cheating. Much hacks.
There is a very bizarre jitter after the kill though.
Lifting and dropping the mouse for resetting it's position will do this kind of thing.

I wonder what the reaction would be when the bots see some baranox gameplay. That shit is wild.

I'm having a blast in the beta and doing even better than I was last week. Only issue I have is that Rush feels bad on these small maps and the Empire map just sticks ass in general. I've been playing conquest on the vehicle maps and been having some of the most fun I've had in a shooter in the last 10 years. Once the full game releases I'll be sticking to the larger maps though and avoiding the small infantry maps unless they are Operation Locker or Operation Metro style of maps.

Tank battles in this game are so good. I had several back to back games where I went 20-0. My last game I went 32 Kills with only 1 death in the IFV. Team work was so good with folks repairing my tank and helping me spot infantry and other vehicles trying to flank my tank :messenger_smiling_with_eyes:.

I'm 40, hardly anyone is faster than me on shotguns in COD. I dig out 100+ kills on small map moshpits regularly. Maybe you've got a dietary issue or something affecting your cognitive speed? Might want to consult a doctor. Friends around my age are all quick enough to dunk on most of the younger crowd, it's not an issue.

If you're actually an elderly gentleman in your late 60s to 70s, I apologise.

Is this some kind of gays defending gays type of thing or something. Why did you just write a whole essay defending some who may or may not be cheating. Do you know them personally or something. You people defending this person so much are even weirder then someone who is pretending to be a cat person.

Now that the honeymoon phase is over and I'm lvl 20.
This is as safe as it possible can be from a disaster that was 2042.
The only good thing this has is destruction.
Everything else is as safe as possible
The worst part about this is the maps
remember bf4 seige of Shanghais c point where u fight at the top of the building
Where is that sort of battlefield moments?
Where are the big maps that actually felt like battlefield.
This literally felt like call of duty's ground war If anyone has played it.

The irony of this when there is a massive meltdown over someone who's not cheating because they're a furry trans vtuber and is simply better than the absolute shitter that is the average battlefield bot.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting Vince Zampella's direction to be this one dimensional and predictable, thought there'd be some nuance, but nope, guy rubberstamps COD while his projects simply change the theme. It's great when it's great but it's going to be a catastrophe when you apply his unrelenting OCD to the wrong title/market condition. He won't be able to deal with actual Battlefield combined arms maps / experience; it seems to be an entirely alien dynamic to the guy. Maybe only certain Swedes themselves hold the keys to Battlefield, and they've departed.

I'm starting to suspect this guy had input in 2042's development too. Spooky levels of one trick pony vibes. The pressure on EA marketing to pick it up is going to be immense, especially in the face of Activision's dead sexy marketing team, who are spinning up right now.

Should have listened to the people warning you guys at DICE about taking out shit like suppression, we know more than you do about Battlefield. If tens of thousands of hours of combined Battlefield franchise experience addresses issues, you take fucking notes, you don't argue it, be grateful some of us give enough of a shit to care.

Feels pointless though, I suspect a senior guy that entrenched and consistent won't be able or willing to process this kind of feedback at all.

It's not all doom and gloom, on the bright side, all of this is going to get titles like BC2, BF4 remasters way easier to greenlight. If you're an external company good at this kind of stuff, start working on a pitch to EA!

The maps are just not good where everything else is sevicable and works the maps maybe ok for a call of duty ground war experience but they are terrible for a battlefield.
