This fucking game. Bought it the month it came out and I still can't get enough of it. Battlefield 3 may be the only game I buy the rest of the year. It's always fun playing with Gaffers but everytime I play with you guys, you're so good it feels like race to see who can set the mcoms first. Haha!

Honestly dude, it's hard to go back to BC2, personally, after playing BF3, IMO. Everything just feels so much better. It's a tough wait.

You joined late. When we first started it was 4 (us) vs. 6.

There were also coming at us hard up until arica attack. Where they seem to just gave up defending and decided that camping for kills was a better idea (not expecting much from a bunch of [MW3] clan tags.)

I've tried: clearing the cache; playing the single-player until next checkpoint; resetting the date to 11/5/05; restarting; playing a different game; updating my Soldier stats on the Battlefield website. It seems very arbitrary and none work consistently. And none of them worked last night.

Now the game is sluggish in the menu, server searching/ stat updating takes forever, I join a server that is listed as ~50 ping and ingame it jumps to over 100, then over 200 and one game it was shown as 999! Noone else is using the connection at the moment, I don´t have any background programms on, nothing. I reset the router already.

Halp.

I wanna level up from lvl 3, lol.

Edit: I just rembered, I switched to MS Security Essentials in the meantime, do I have to set up an exception for BC2 somewhere for it? Maybe that´s it.

It has been happening quite often the last few weeks to me and others on my friends list. Not sure what fixes the problem. Sometimes its as simple as a reset of the 360 or a router/modem reset. Other times you just have to wait it out. Very annoying though.

I moved my BC2 profile off my HDD, supposedly that forces the game to fetch it from the EA servers. It didn't work the first time I tried to connect after, but eventually did (you're supposed to unplug the 360 for 20 seconds, too, but I forgot that part). It zaps your single-player profile, though. Move the 2MB Saved Game profile to a memory unit, so if you ever have to try the single-player trick you won't be sitting through the beginning cut-scenes. You also have to look at all your unlocks and awards again.

Honestly, I'm still not convinced any of this does anything at all and it's just coincidence when it works. I would call EA Online to bitch about it, but I don't want to have to go through all the questioning where they pretend it's some port-forwarding problem on my end. I doubt it's just happenstance that it's happening more right around the launch of Madden 12, either.

This happens to me occasionally (PS3), but it goes away after awhile.

Last year though, just before I started playing with gaffers, I stopped playing the game for 2 months because I just couldn't connect to the EA servers. It was nuts, I was kicked out of PSN as soon as the game tried to log me in. I was so pissed that I almost broke the Blu-ray.

yeah, a few people on my friends list have been getting this problem and i duno if any of these home remedies work or if it's just trying repeatedly that works in the end.

Well, obviously. The bigger question is: How many are jumping to PC vs PS3? There's stuff on PS3 I want to get (P4 Arc fighter, for instance) but I've got Halo 2, Magic 2012, Dirt 3, TF2, BC2 double-dip and BF3 pre-order waiting for me on PC. So it's a toss-up on either.

So that's 1. I'd be 2 in frustration and anger. I know Dream would jump, that's 3. Evolved? Faceless probably would but he's more a console-based player so I can't see him jumping to PC. I think Calion had plans to make a PC. I dunno about BallisticTiger/Crack. JJD? I don't think JJD would jump... Fersis (before he whines that I forget him)? Olimpia?

Evolved said he might, not sure about Dream and building a pc in Brasil is expensive as hell so unfortunately I don't think JJD will do it. I'm going to get my ps3 fixed next month, so I won't abandon my Ps3 homies.

The new desktop was going to be built regardless of bf3 or not (A dragonlord k-62 case been sitting in my attic since last summer.)

I'm just not in a rush. Although now that AMD is delaying Bulldozer to mid october, it's not like I'm going to get my price drop.

I've decided to build a PC in the spring... fall semester things are kind of crazy for me. So, at least until the start of the spring semester I'll be playing PS3. Then it will be PS3PC.

I've recruited so many friends to the Battlefield crowd that I won't be ditching the PS3 version, but I still want the PC version for the other friends and the experience.
