best ramen or cup ramen to try?

Bought few of those Nongshims as this thread praised them so much and... they tasted exactly the same as every other instant noodle I've bought in the past.

I think they're okay, but I also didn't really understand the hype for them. The broth is nice, noodles are just okay. Spice is low.

Tried some of the Nissin Raoh. Tonkotsu.

Truth.

Love these.

These are the ones I go for depending on what store I go to. Though I add stuff to my ramen anyway.

...And these.

But the Nongshim Black Label? Tried it; hated it. Too hot for me, but unlike something like a curry, I didn't feel there was much flavour below the heat. Prepared to believe the experience is better for people with greater spice tolerance, but I'd be skeptical if so many people didn't praise them.

For reference, I'll always order my food at a spice level of 1 for preference (spicy heat covers flavour rather than enhancing it for me); but I can enjoy anything up to a 3 if the dish is really good. Anything above that will be too uncomfortable to be pleasant for me no matter how good it is. I imagine the red spicy Nongshim would feel like eating ramen cooked in Draino.

Sooooo I tried a pack of

It was..... Ok. The spice was too overwhelming. I wasn't able to taste anything, flavor wise. I prefer the original because it was just the right amount of spicy and tasty.

Yeah, I don't imagine these as being anything but a novelty really. The originals are pretty damn hot to begin with, but these have gotta be painful.

...I'd still give them a try though, for science. Maybe make a bunch for friends.

It's good just cooked in water, but the best way to make it is to fry it in a really hot pan afterwards like real mi goreng. I use toasted sesame oil and top it with an egg.

They also have lots of other flavors. The rendang flavor is super tasty.

Yep, my fav by far
