My bet is they didn't talk in-house about the delay with the marketing and those who prepare the gameplay presentation. You would think they wouldve released that deep dive before announcing the delay to soften the blow, but what do I know about marketing.
I don't consider delaying a game as having management and leadership issues. If that's so, then naughty dog and Sony, and the rest of this industry as a whole have both of those issues, right? In all honesty, I don't really see the point in having a deep dive in June when the games could be up to a year away and I wouldn't be shocked to see Starfield be Microsoft's Holiday 2023 title ala Halo Infinite going from November 2020 to December 2021.
But whatever, Jaffe is right. Microsoft has management and leadership issues, plain and simple. How many times does anyone have to keep seeing fuck up after fuck up before realizing holy shit!!! we have a fucking problem? UGH.
So disappointing. But whatever. It is what it is.
Save it for the actual year the game is releasing. Wish more developers were like Monolith Soft.
We know the game release has been delayed yesIt's not coming anytime soon... how is this good news?

I never whined about not seeing gameplay. I was always expecting June for gameplay. 10 minutes or less for Redfall and delayed to 2023. 20-30 minutes for Starfield and releases 11/11/22.So first when it was expected to drop later this year people whined non-stop about why aren't they seeing any gameplay. And now that it's been pushed further away and they've made clear we are going to get a deep dive look at gameplay for both games, now those same people are now saying they don't see the point of showing gameplay? I literally said something like this would occur as we approached closer to gameplay, too.
exactly what I thought, my hype for the showcase now is alot less now since they delayed itYou would think they wouldve released that deep dive before announcing the delay to soften the blow, but what do I know about marketing.

No it's not good news if the game isn't releasing anytime soon.We know the game release has been delayed yes
But the Gameplay for them might be revealed soon that is the good news here
Well people want to see the gameplay first why robbed them of that satisfaction? No it's not good news if the game isn't releasing anytime soon.
Releasing on time>Gameplay footageWell people want to see the gameplay first why robbed them of that satisfaction?
It seem you want them to release the games without any gameplay shown before hand
That was a CGI announcement trailer not a real deep dive gameplay reveal lolThe redfall reveal was fucking ass cheeks, so they could cancel that for all I care. But I wannna see Starfield.
Releasing on time>Gameplay footage
Delayed happens it has been happening since the start of 2020Releasing on time>Gameplay footage
When was GOW supposed to release? They are not mutually exclusive.
God of War 2018 had its game play reveal a good 2 years before releasing as well, as just one of many examples.
When was GOW supposed to release?
The game was supposed to release this year. Why does that matter, you said :
No it's not good news if the game isn't releasing anytime soon.
Big games often have their game play showcases year(s) before release.
It's good news for people who've been looking forward to seeing Starfield game play.
The game was supposed to release this year.
GOW wasn't supposed to release the year they showed it.
That was a CGI announcement trailer not a real deep dive gameplay reveal lol
Ok but still not a deep dive gameplay revealAnd it was still ass cheeks.
Ok but still not a deep dive gameplay reveal
I suggest to watch the deep dive gameplay reveal before calling something ass cheeks off of a CGI trailer
Well it seem you have a personal vendetta against it so your mind is made up already without actually seeing gameplayNah I'll keep calling it ass cheeks because the tone and everything about it was ass cheeks.

They can show gameplay in June but I don't need a deep dive anymore until the game is closer to actually being released. Also, I want them to have a good showing. If the trailers aren't polished then I definitely don't want to see either and if they are, just give me 5 minutes or so. Just give me the general idea of what the game will be and that's it. I don't need to know all this other info that im going to forget anyway since it's further out than originally expected. All my interest and focus will be on the games that actually release this Fall.
You ready for a round 2 Bet?![]()
Just lovely. Can't wait
Wtf you mean by feigned concern? That's not the point.
Tons of games have game play showcases years before release.
You don't really have a leg to stand on here with the feigned concern, but I guess gotta get the jabs in while the news is hot.
What stunts? From 100% angry, to 80% angry. Still not enough to forgive them, for the stunts they pulled on us.
