Honestly I'm surprised by how much hate Joanne is getting. It's a fun album. I'm just glad she's done with the BTW/Artpop sound.

While there is legit hate from the OGH (Obsessive Gaga Haters) I saw that most reactions from the media and even fans are "Wait! Is that it?"

There are some good ideas and nice songs in Joanne but they are too sparse and too little considering the wait and the hype.

That makes sense, I haven't listened properly to Gaga since The Fame Monster, so I really didn't have any expectations and then when I heard Perfect Illusion my expectations were very low. It would seem that I lowballed it too much which meant I had an over positive reaction when it wasn't the worst thing ever. Somebody mentioned this a page back or so, but an EP would have been a much better place, instead of a full album. She could have tested the new sound out, see what people think of it and then go from there. I think she will have a new album out by next year, and if not that, early 2018. It's going to be better than Joanne, I just hope she keeps this sound or something similar to "Dancin' in Circles."

so now Gaga like Perry and Britney is only good for 3 or less songs per era

Listened to Joanne. It's easily her best body of work since The Fame Monster. It's a thoroughly enjoyable album, with no real stinkers and some amazing songs (Joanne, Come to Mama, Million Reasons, Perfect Illusion).

Ironically, I'm kind of not liking it as much. As much as I love the sound of the album, I think I'm only going to keep listening to a few songs: Diamond Heart, John Wayne, Dancin' in Circles, Sinner's Prayer, and Another Day. Maybe Gringo Girls.

Lana manages to switch up her sound like it's nothing while Gaga gathers A-list producers and makes a dud currently on sale for like $5 at Amazon and getting dragged by critics.
