This makes me happy. Also, watching GT review the Steam version.

No saving is actually the biggest bummer. How can you release a game without saving :/

Im at work could someone post the cliff notes on what 1999 mode actually entails? Is it just as worthless as survival mode in Fallout New Vegas? You should probably have a read of this: http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/03/25/n...e-graphics-settings-loot-glint-and-1999-mode/
Sounds like 1999 isn't very fun.
Still, not a bad review in sight so looks like the game is good!
It seems your review is one of the lowest scores. Nothing wrong about that of course.
Huh? New Vegas Hardcore mode was fantastic and actually added lots of valuable mechanics to the game. That's what people hoped 1999 mode would be.Im at work could someone post the cliff notes on what 1999 mode actually entails? Is it just as worthless as survival mode in Fallout New Vegas?

But even the original vanilla version made a few important changes. You couldn't just trek into the wasteland forever without some kind of food/water supply, and (IMHO most importantly) you had to make some choices regarding your weapons because of ammo actually having weight. In its original implementation it was less effective. Josh Sawyer overhauled it into something harsher and a lot more expansive in scope, closer in line what it was originally intended to be.
Voice of Reason said:It shows some great moments in the campaign you'd probably want to experience on your own, but nothing that spoils the story.

lol at those scores
OMG it's 1% better than Skyrim and 4 whole %'s better than Mass Effect 3
What the fuck does that even mean?
I STILL haven't gotten my Steam key from the AMD promo either. This is bullshit!
Yeah, I totally agree with this. Ideally, I'd like to play something like "1999 mode" with enemy health levels at normal.Buffing enemy health values to an unreasonable extent is unnecessary, though (if that's in fact what they did). Those are the sorts of "hard mode" modifications that are never very interesting.

.Mind-blowing ending that you won't soon forget.
To get people who were thinking of buying it at a price drop to get all excited and go out and buy it today!
This is why I never trust reviews other than Gamekult's (and even they are flawed). Every single major review site falls for hype. Every big-budget game gets an 8 to 10 note while not deserving them, so scores don't mean anything anymore.

Well 1999 mode does seem to have those sorts of things going for it. For example, money is apparently a lot more scarce in 1999 mode, and everything uses it including respawning. So it's easy to see how you can screw yourself if you don't play your cards right, and choosing what to upgrade and such will be a lot more important.
