Is anyone with dual monitors getting a BSOD while playing? I just got two crashes within an hour of each other while watching Hulu on one monitor and playing the game on the other. I'm running a 980ti, didn't see any temp issues during the first crash (was around 80C on the GPU).

One BSOD said "KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" (caused by nvlddmkm.sys), then I updated to the newest Nvidia driver 364.51 and got a crash 20 minutes later that said "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" (caused by dxgmms2).

I think it might be because one monitor is gsync and the other is 60hz? Not sure if that would cause a problem.

i did a quest chain that involved linking up Western Guard Camp and Velia nodes and ended up getting a free wagon out of it.

How do you do emotes without bringing up the chatbox?

If you open the emotes window from the chatbox first, there is a way to bind up to 10 emotes to hotkeys. Then just press the hotkey combination when you want to emote.

What is radiance? If you mean shine, it glows even at 0.

What hair color do you have? As far as I know the radioactive hair has been a problem since KR version

Does anyone know why I don't get a distance bonus for fish I've caught in Elpheria? I have a complete node connection via Calpheon and Glish all the way back to Velia yet I can't even get the bonus selling the fish in Calpheon

Set your alarm for every 90 minutes Seriously though, I don't know, but I assume you can get better rods with more durability? I do know that it wont automatically replace the rod with a spare one from your inventory though.

I too was overwhelmed at first, and I am barely starting to grasp how some things work.

Now those who have been playing the game longer can tell me if Im wrong, but it almost feels like we are playing a game that started with much less systems in place, and was fleshed out as it grew over its 2 years or so existence in Korea?

It really feels like in the US version we have to deal with a more complex gameplay due to added elements over time being all available at once... but maybe Im wrong and it was all there at release in Korea in 2014?

Anyways, Korean mmos are typically grindy and with obtuse mechanics in many cases, but bdo fortunately offsets this by some amazing art (graphics and music) and many original elements like carts, horse taming/ breeding, workers and nodes, and its dual emphasis on guild warfare and economic features with crafting/ trading.

A few more dungeons to explore in end game and more in and out of game clothing options would truly complete it (though I am nowhere near end game atm).

The game has barely been out for a year. It went into Korean beta and launched in December 2014. The game was designed with western audiences in mind and the English version was made at the same time with lots of development being shown on the localized version as early as 2013. We are currently on the vanilla launch version of the game. This is basically the game that Koreans got at launch with a few minor patches.

Black Desert is just a very mechanically dense game. I wouldn't say anything is necessarily obtuse but it rarely compromises and there is a steep learning curve so I can see some people getting frustrated or impatient. Also, if you're expectation is for more dungeons at end game then I think you may be disappointed. They are not interested in designing typical MMO PVE content. We will get much more interesting things like whale hunting, naval combat, maritime trading, etc.
