What stats do you think costumes give that would give someone the edge in combat?

The one that hides your name and pretty much has no counter at the moment. You can craft flares in the other versions but we don't have that.

You don't think there is any edge from the costume? Specially in skirmishes between two groups?

You can get flares from repeatable quests. It doesn't help much if you're getting jumped out in the field or something though. As for name plates, I keep other player names off anyway.
People complained about this item in CBT2 but they didn't listen.
The worst thing I have read about the PVP so far is that PK players have a big advantage in that you can't attack them without penalty until they hit you first. Also, it's going to be annoying from 45-50+ with a lot of people having a huge level and gear advantage against you.

I main a Witch, one of the worst classes at 1v1 PvP. They're good at group PvP but the GAF guild only has like 2-3 people who can even PvP right now and most are maybe not even interested. I'll need what ever advantage I can get. So to answer your question, yes. You're a sitting duck right now without that costume.

PKers are going to run up to you and shoot anyway. (Unless your just lying around, hiding)
If anything it sounds like you are bitter about the role your character has in the pvp in this game.
I assume this was a pker? If so I dont see the big deal, you encountered the same pker twice, dont go there again for a while if you cant beat him?
Pkers are a vast minority in this game since the punishment is so harsh.
If your in a guild war the costume becomes much more of a problem but even then the person wearing it is glowing red (this is also true if they are flagged btw). If you cant see this you would have been caught off guard either way.
Ambushing works even without this suit, if you go prone it hides your name, this just adds the abilitiy to move fast (which is bad, yes).
I also really dont like this costume (or any of the stats on costumes) but dont blame your pvp deaths on it as they would probably have happened anyway.
The best use of this costume is actually to avoid pvp...
Someone with that costume can ambush you easily without you ever be able to notice it dependin where you are, giving the first strike (that can be crucial in PvP, dunno in this game, but in other games).
I see this as an advantage, even if for some is small. IMO they could make it as it only hides the name crouching or something like that. But the truth is that a suit like this shouldn't be from the cash shop.

You got PK'd by someone who would have killed you with or without the suit. It's such a weird complaint.
The quick movement in this game means I can come in from out of your vision to in your face in less than 2 seconds. If someone is sitting there, prone, waiting for people, that's actually less effective when trying to gank people than running around full speed looking for people to kill.
Dunno, just sounds like a weird complaint. If you don't like the PVP, or your class, that's fine, but to say you need a $30 suit to win at PVP is laughable and just makes you sound bitter at either your lack of skill or class choice.
For an ambush he could also go prone (this hides your name even without the suit), so still its the speed at which he moves that changes.
The Pker is going to have the first strike anyway unless you flag for pvp and attack first, getting the penalty in return.
If this is about GwG then yes, this becomes much more of a problem, my solution for now:
Be careful and look for glowing players, shoot at anyone wearing the costume first (will hit them in a GwG, will do nothing if not).
I completely agree with what you say tho, stats should not be on costumes ever.
There's an NPC out there that can tell you where to find any player for 5 energy.
Click on a blue house in Map view, select 'Residence' from the options that pop up and spend 1 contribution point (might sometimes be more than 1, I don't know) to buy it (you can take back the contribution point and 'sell' the house at any point).
You can also go up to the door of a house that has a purple light emitting from it and press R to bring up the same menu.

So, regarding fail stacks on enchantments, the best course of action would be to use cheap jewelry for low amounts of stacks, then cheap armor for higher stacks? Hakurai just put out a guide on them and his wording was really throwing me for a loop

Btw, I used my free coupon for change some things and also recreatet my alt and It seems like the sliders dont translate 1:1 into the game. I mean, if you change the slider but only a tiny bit it may not translate into the game, it only does translate certain after passing sliders parts.

Leveling my alt (Sorceress)
Makes me realize how Ranger is the best class for a newcomer. Goddamn it's a friggin faceroll lol. Ranger was easy (considering is the weakest class at first) but this is hilarious. I think the PvE leveling content could do with a buff.
