Wow. I'm not sure what people find so ape-pealing about the game, but they are sure going bananas over it.
I just wonder is all those players will still be hanging around a week from now.
Again, why are some of you people saying this pointless shit?
It doesn't matter how many will play it "weeks from now". it's a single player game.
Most people will play it and move on like with every other game, but the mere fact it reached these numbers even for a minute is already an achievement and a massive success in itself.

Bruh, what the hell!? It's currently ranked #4 on all time peak CCU chart where F2P titles like Dota 2, CS2 and PUBG are included. 😳

To recoup funds, Ubisoft should sell PPV streams of the AC Shadows and SW Outlaws project manager desperately explaining to their boss why their games didn't sell half as much as Wukong.

PUBGs record in danger. That was set when steams concurrent peak was 18 million it now does 36 million.

If Black myth doesn't do it then another game will do it this generation. BOOK IT!

That's kind of crazy but I attribute a part of it to players being fed up with all the forced woke garbage in games, sticking up their middle finger and saying "THIS is the kind of stuff we want". I look forward to digging in on PS5 after work 👌
I see where you're coming from, but there is nothing in BMW that would cause any 'woke' liberal to be bothered about in the first place tbh. Unless I'm mistaken, there are no jiggly tits or softcore porn in the game for people to get mad about.

The preorder charts showed this was #1 in China and Taiwan with most western countries peaking at much lower, some not at all. The highest I saw was a #4 and #8. All other western countries were at numbers like #28 and such, or not even registering on the list (some European countries).

This is almost all China. Sorry to burst any “anti-woke” bubbles. This isn’t sone “win” against woke by western players. It appears to be a Chinese game being bought by Chinese players, of which there are many. Nationalism is the fuel on the fire.

Just so people can understand, this game is rn the #1 wishlisted title on Steam, even surpassing Silksong.

This is going to be a much bigger launch than most anticipated and someone at Microsoft is absolutely seething that they won't be part of it.
I called this launch a monster and it looks like I was right.

Microsoft wouldn't have had Corden write that cope piece unless they knew it too.

They always seem to overlook the most obvious answer: no one really gives a fuck.
And I don't mean just the silent majority of people not even aware of any controversy.
I mean that even most of the people who "hear of it" don't genuinely give a damn of all this moral posturing.

"Bu-but... One dev made sexist jokes in the office and on twitter! How can you even condone that!"
Yeah, sorry, NORMAL people don't give a shit.
Hell, most normal people are probably more annoyed at you weirdos making a fuss of a fucking joke and making a mountain out of a molehill
And no, I'm not referring to the "alt right" nazis, either.

The woke believe that they can influence Chinese or Korean devs so yes, this is a reality check for them.

There is nothing woke or antiwoke about this game except for the boycott attempts by the usual suspects who know that China and Korea will never bend their knees. Same as the recent "boycott-hoyoverse", which no one did.

It's not even just Asia, it's most of the world.

South America don't give a shit, Africa don't give a shit, the middle east don't give a shit (in fact, I can tell you from first hand experience that it's actively laughed at and made fun of), large parts of Australia don't give a shit, and even large parts of Europe don't give a shit.

It's abundantly clear that these people have never travelled and immersed themselves in other cultures, but I think we all knew that already.
Yeah dont know about that.. I leave in Brazil.. and overhere wokeness and social fighting is pretty much a thing since we had unfortunately far left governments for quite some time, this things are not as bad as in the US but is not light like in Asia, but you can be sure, its a problem nonetheless

Guess the chinese just figured out that AAA games exist.

In my book this is a good thing. More potential customers that don`t give a shit about western PCness.

Scam

Vaporware

Never going to release

Where are those idiots now?
I genuinely believed it would be vaporware when it was revealed, like with many other Chinese games over the years we haven't seen materialise like dokev etc.

That being said, I'm happy to see it is real and being really well received :)

Over 45 thousand reviews on steam and only 2.5k written in english is crazy. China must've been horny waiting for this game :messenger_open_mouth:

"THIS is the kind of stuff we want"

Feels like Palworld again. Wonder if it will have a 99% player drop in 2 months.

My favourite game ever, D, lasts 2 hours. Who cares how long people stick with a game. That’s engagement snake oil discourse. The sales are what matters and the impact the game has.

And from what we see at the moment, feels like a tectonic shift.

What a remarkably stupid thing to say. Yes, I wonder if a single player game will have a player drop off in 2 months, tough call. This may come as I shock but once I finish/platinum a game I move on to another one, depending on the game this will take me anywhere from a few days to a month or - in rare cases - even longer (hello RDR2, Elden Ring etc), I imagine most people who game do the same thing.

Funny how they don't keep that same energy when it comes to Assassin's Creed: Shadows and Ubisoft. A company rife with sexual assault and cover-ups, which led to a police investigation, resulting in five arrests being made. Go into any AC: Shadows thread in that purple shithole, and it's nonstop excitement and jizzing over that game.

Concord devs be like:

"Nooo! This is supposed to be MY numbers! MY! MY NUMBERS!"

I do really hope this trend of asian games being sucessfull and social people taking the L continues. It shows me people are ignoring the scum of society and just playing games.

PlanetSmasher is hilarious. One of the funniest life haters and self loathers in that asylum. I still can't believe that's not a parody account from someone on here.
PlanetSmasher is like real life Eeyore. Whenever I read his posts, I unknowingly read them in Eeyore's voice
