There's nothing else that I want to play on 360 aside from Mass Effect 3 - no point in keeping a console for another year just to play one game (just for Mass Effect 1 save files at that...). I just got Valk for 320 points(the sweet spot) and I'm loving it so far. His combos are basic and easy to understand and his wolf form is absolutely badass. The wolf lunges, basic combos, cool specials and great reach will definitely make this guy popular online. I'm kind of bummed that they decided to keep Makoto at the same price though...
Makoto is also even more of a beast at close range than before.

I'm making this transition as well(although I've already got a PS3). I was actually considering a double dip since I like the game too much to miss out on the expanded audience. My backlog is too massive so I'll have to hold off on plans to sell it anytime soon however...DY_nasty said:
Its pissing me off because I still have MS points on my 360 account and just paid for another year and I'm not sure if I'll have to sell my harddrive with it to get it. This is the only gen where I haven't had every system and its killing me :/

I find that most of my favorite games this generation are multi-platform.
I'm planning to re-PS3 down the road; but my butthurt runs deep over losing my backward compatible PS3, then paying Sony $150 for repair, then that unit breaking a month later, then mailing it back. BLAH! BLAH! And no reliable f'ing way to safely back up all my data. Ugh.
It was a pain in my ass. I'll get a PS3 when it's priced according to what I'm willing to pay. Plus I had a ton of Rockband DLC and plastic instruments that were gathering dust until I loaned them to a friend for use while I'm without PS3.

I've got over thirty-five 360 games and my 360 red ringed the other day. The disk drive still spins after I've taken out the disk and turned the system off. I'm determined to make this my last microsoft console unless someone pays my online fees for me(just renewed). My sure bets at this point are the next nintendo console and PC gaming, but I'm not entirely sure where fighting games fit in when it comes to this combination. I can't see most fighting game fans on a Nintendo system.:lol
Sell the 360 and get DS lite on the cheap. The PS3 is definitely going to have another price drop with it's horrible performance in the west and a lot of it's big hitters are coming next year. It'd be better for your wallet and your sanity if you just got something for the interim. The time to get a PS3 was black Friday and that has already passed.DY_nasty said:

The only game I wanted for DS was Infinite Space (and it was great).
But I've never played Uncharted, Demon's Souls, Valkyria Chronicles, The good version of FF13, fighting games on a good pad, and I've cleared almost everything I've wanted to play on 360.

Well Calamity Trigger is out for the PC.
The rise of Western developers and Japanese developers making hare brained decisions (polygons instead of HD sprites, and dumbing down game mechanics) is really cooling my interest in console gaming. This generation is probably the start of that.
Hopefully this trend of bigger budgets, more overblown production dies down a little and download services get more cool original content like Shantae and Contra Hard Corps: Uprising.
Just seems foolish to abandon the sprite medium of game art when developers barely scratched the surface of sprites on modern consoles. Sprite haters be damned.
