Bloodborne on pc now boots via emulator

Finally got this working. Still trying to figure out if it's running at 720p like ShadPS4 says, or if I should trust the Ctrl+F10 in-game display that days it's running at 1080p upscale to 1440p. Regardless, it's running at 60fps pretty well locked.

Agree with the other guy saying the 60fps makes this game so much more readable. Managed to beat the Cleric Beast without dying once (noteworthy because I suck).
Make sure to go in the game patches and select a resolution. The emulator menu doesn't actually change it.

Thanks. Sorry, got a question, and you seem to know your stuff. I went into patches and downloaded all from whatever the default directory was. That gave me the 60fps patch/disable CA/etc. About 10 patches. But the only resolution mod I see is 720p (Lance McDonald's one). Any ideas on how I can get a 1080p/1440p one or otherwise be sure I'm running at those rezzes?
Check the drop down menu. The one where you see the patches collection's name and the name of the author. There should be another set of patches with more resolution options.

Completed the game. I'd say the stability is about 95%. I had an annoying issue every once in a while called vertex explosion where the geometry would go out of whack and I would have to restart the emulator for it to go away. There's supposed to be a fix for that, but I haven't tried it.

Otherwise, great experience and much better than on PS4. I'd say it's the best way to experience the game if you have the hardware for it, but it is demanding. You also no longer need mods or patches for it to work. Everything comes with the proper version of the emulator.

Hats off to the guys who did this because this is impressive.

Nothing to see in this here post, folks.

Just a console peasant still begging for 60fps on consoles...

Seems about right. I'm sure future emulator versions will find a way to remove that Vertex Explosion bug later.

Now, what's our next target for 90% accurate emulation on...?

Did you have to use any specific mod or tweak to make it work?
Last time I tried it (which was admittedly months ago) the emulator crashed consistently while facing certain enemies in the starting city.

Does it randomly crash still? Playing a souls game like that would completely kill it for me.

Can confirm this is dope. Played through it end-to-end and I thought the 60fps made enemies far more readable.

I put off installing the vertex explosion fix but eventually did install it, and it was smooth sailing. I think it only crash like five times (one full playthrough).

The vertex explosion is hard to explain, but you'll know it when you see it. I think it's where the polygons are supposed to meet, they don't. So my dude's face had a texture shooting out into infinity.

Only crashes I got are in some cutscenes because of 60fps. If I turn it back to 30, the crashing stops, but I've seen them all a million times, so I just skip them.

Back then, yes, but you don't need to do much anymore besides choosing your resolution and uncap your fps. Also might wanna install the vertex explosion fix mod. You don't have to do much else.

Do the fix and that won't happen anymore. It is so worth it. With the fix is more like 98%of the way there.

Just get a good gaming PC, bro.

I toy with the idea all of the time but I know myself and I while I can absolutely figure it all out, I have no desire to. I'm not interested in fiddling with drivers and settings to get a game to work better or even just properly, and I personally don't care about all of the technical graphical crap that everyone obsesses over. I like my simplicity and convenience with consoles, and the tradeoff is when things like this come up.

I'm in the same boat. People talk about PC as a platform of "no compromises" but it's actually full of them. You compromise money, convenience, comfort, simplicity, ease of use, user interface, and to me even the controller. I don't like the Xbox controller that much and if you're on PC that's the only one that always has native support.

At the end of the day it's a matter of choosing what you're willing to sacrifice.

I guess I don't see any of this sacrifice because no matter what, as a family man, my gaming setup is completely separate from the living room so even if I play on PS or PC I am at my desk. I use the Dual sense on every game, even the newer Game Pass games support it these days. Both controllers are on my desk so I can switch them out easily if needed. For me the biggest sacrifice is forgoing mods and I am not willing to do that unless forced to(like with the upcoming GTA 6 for the first year).

I don't get the posts above... or why they are even here, but it's a forum for discussion, so there is that.
Anyway... I've played this game for thousands of hours on a PS4, now... I have 200+ hours and I am using an 8BitDo 2 Ultimate, on PC, running this game looking so pretty. I run Chalices every freakin' day and it's nice. In fact? I am going to check out some of the mods, right now and see what's new.

Very happy to see this making such good progress beyond Bloodborne! Guess we'll be able to perfectly emulate the ps4 in the near future.

I'm glad it went from Bloodborne emulator to also other games.

Been waiting to play kill zone shadow fall
