BLOODBORNE Spoiler Thread (read OP)

Thanks for the replies! For a person who has only dabbled with the souls series/new to the genre, which class would you guys recommend? It is hard to figure to out which stats would help me survive the first hours of Bloodborne.

He could have gone to the dungeons much earlier but he was too much of an ass, so it took the end of the game to finally actually begin that part. This seems like how you actually farm for material and vials viably.

Haven't watched much, but poked in to a couple streams now. My god, the Art direction is otherwordly. It is just on another level. Absolutely stunning.

I am glad that the unique monster designs won't be wasted on one-off encounters in the main game now, the chalice dungeon really has a whole lot more depth than i anticipated.

I keep checking my Digi preorder for updates hoping it starts preloading. If FP had to delay the game for over 100 pages for the day one patch I'm hoping something more substantial than some stability and damage counters were adjusted...

When do OTs go up now anyway? The day before a game's release?

No OT until the game releases. Kind of sucks in this regard but no game should get preferential treatment I guess.

oh boy
so, haven't been reading spoilers
1 so, missed Cleric, did Father G. 1st, no music box. a million attempts.
2 next went to Old Y. thought blood tinge
3 then fought CLERIC. pretty easy at this point.
4 bought the emblem, found my way to the Witch lands, killed the witches
5 Back to church, killed the vicar
6 realized there's an elevator in the hub church, went up. I think killing grandpas for bullets could become a meme
7 lost the friendly in the graveyard were you first fight Father G. oops
8. So, i think i have "the words" from the vision,
but not really sure where to go next, gentle hint would be great.

Here's to playing non-linearly

also, it's totally

Bloodborne |OT| The real loadborne start here.

quick question: can you play this game in co-op? is it similar to DS co-op?

Jolly co-operation is disabled at the moment (due to the game not being out yet) but is in the game.
A currency called Insight is required to summon people into your game.

Spend one Insight to simultaneously open your game up to invasions and co-op.
You earn insight by consuming rare items, defeating bosses, and completing online activities (killing host during an invasion, defeating a boss during co-op).
Insight is not lost upon death.
Maybe something else that I am forgetting.

I'm kind of lost and need help finding a location in the first area-

there was a door where they asked for a password. I thought it was near the cathedral ward, but I can't find it again...

I'd also like to know this

You're much farther than me at this point, but maybe go take on Darkbeast Paarl? Should be the next boss. Get killed by one of those guys with the sack. There should be one underneath the tower the cathedral elevator takes you to. You know how you go down and then through the door and you're in the streets again? Let him kill you. He'll be in the alley.

I thought it was one day before? Like technically today IS one day before considering psn digital.

you need to
get specifically killed by a certain enemy
to progress? uh

Do we have any idea on what is online only for the game? Besides the usual online co-op/pvp jazz. I personally have zero interest in getting PS+, so I was merely curious as to what is not enabled in an offline run of the game.

I've never done a fully offline run in a first playthrough since Demon's Souls, so I'm quite hyped for that. Dark Souls II's online really helped me cheese the game. :3c
