More expensive than the console, and almost no games
Surprised Pikachu
Surprised Pikachu
Humans see what they want to see.
Price and weight have nothing to do with it. Not many people are interested in VR and restricting it to the PS5 which was still not readily available when this headset came out for sure did not help.3 reasons it don’t sell,
Price
Software
It’s big and heavy
Pc support is not gonna change much, look at all the other pc headsets,
Maybe they will try again next gen, when all the issues are fixed.
First person games in VR is hands-down the best way to experience First person gaming.Let VR burn. It's the 3D TV again and again. Dead tech and will be for a long time.
What were they expecting? It's a niche product, it won't sell great. It also doesn't matter how many games you release for it. It remains niche.

VR is a niche, single-platform console VR is a sliver of a niche!
Soon as they open it up to PC they'll shift their inventory easily I think.
Takahashi is incredibly unreliable and he’s borderline a bitter PS hater: https://www.reddit.com/r/PS5/s/MsLNbcbYr9
I mean it just kinda sucks. No matter if there are exclusives or notStep 1: Release a new platform
Step 2: don't support or advertise it at all
Step 3: Pikachu face when it doesn't sell
Poppyseed, keep your receipts like I be doing..I said this before it was released and got lambasted. Nobody wants to connect VR to something else. It doesn’t matter how powerful it is. That’s why the Quest blows this out of the water, and why the PSVR2 was/is guaranteed to fail.
and thousands of people lack official ways to watch their collection of 3D movies
Knowing Valve for a very long time I would not be surprised at all if they abandon VR, I hope I’m wrong because the authentic fans of Valve are going to be shit out of luck again while the fanboys feast for the next Valve fix. They should have waited to get into VR until they had more compelling, cheaper tech with a boatload of software. They should also have made it a stand alone device to compete with Valve and Meta.
There’s a reason Valve is dragging feet on the Deckard: the tech is still years away.
Meta devices may not get many "big" VR games like Horizon or Gran Turismo 7 VR
I agree. But I don't think PSVR2 needs to be standalone. It just needs to be open to PC and be reasonably priced. This thing should not cost more than $360.Should've made it more flexible, hook it up to your ps5...your ps4...your PC...standalone...its own apps and OS. I'd buy it then.
lmao. if anything this shows they won't be doing more platforms. Now Sony give us properly handheld

I know right.Takahashi is incredibly unreliable and he’s borderline a bitter PS hater: https://www.reddit.com/r/PS5/s/MsLNbcbYr9
They have been demonstrating they don't know how to support a secondary product pretty much since the days of the PSP. They need to stop or be serious about it, but it requires understanding the targeted market which they were never able to achieve. Now Sony give us properly handheld

So even during Xmas 2023 quarter, it shipped the least quarterly Wow. While Meta shipped the most.
