Does the dlc integrate into the main game or do you load it from a menu?
What I'm asking is: do I have to download everything at once
Well damn, I may actually buy this.
I was patiently waiting for the day the Vita would get a good FPS. Looks like this is it.
Wait, did you miss Killzone: Mercenary?
Killzone is everything wrong about contemporary FPS. One of the blandest, most generic FPS franchises ever.

Killzone is native and it has AA.

Is there any gameplay changes like faster leveling? Less enemies on screen would give me that impression
Mercenary is considerably different, and better for it.
People always judge from blown-up screenshots, always. And it never ends well.
I'm relatively glad, think I'd fail my exams if it were sooner...
Played it for a few hours last night. Goddamn this blew away my expectations. When I play on PC I play on basically the absolute lowest settings and was expecting something like that but damn. Iron Galaxy da gawd
Anyone getting the "You don't have this DLC so the content won't load" message when they boot up the game? I downloaded everything and I keep getting that message.
As I've said countless times before and even in my previous post itt, I actually never judge a game's gfx based not on blown-up screenshots but not even on correct-sized ones, since Nintendo Consoles especially taught me that you need to see games in motion, screenshots means nothing and staring at direct-feed screens will not represent playing conditions unless you'll be playing a static screen game sitting in front of a PC monitor.
This time I felt it was kinda weird because it's the IGN videos I've seen in the OP that look horrible even when watched on a small letterbox on my iPad, they make it look super low poly and with awfully blurred low-res textures. But I have no problem believing the game can look really good on Vita's screen when playing it for the reasons I stated above. Which is, you know, what matters. I definitely care about graphics in games, but don't give a shit about pimpin' screenshots.
Did you cross-save from PS3 that had DLC that the vita version does not support?
Wait, so this actually turned out good? Is it worthwhile playing on Vita or is it hard to control?
Not sure if I should pick this up since I already Platinum'd the PS3 one...
- Visually it looks as good if not better than could be expected
- Performance is a bit disappointing as the framerate isn't as stable as I'd like but it's not too bad [i.e. not PS3 bayonetta or Skyrim]
- Controls are a bit of a larger sticking point. I think I'll get used to it and the button remapping works pretty well but no option to not map anything to the rear touchpad. I put weapon swap and crouch on it as I seldom use those. Handles pretty well. Aiming's a bit challenging but I'm new to Vita so might just be me
- Full BL2 experience as far as I can tell
[*]Lower number of enemies on screen at once but think you still fight the same number just in smaller waves?

Thanks for the summary! I'll look into buying it for sure. Sounds better than expected.
If this does well, what're the chances of The Pre-Sequel coming on Vita?
Pitchford told us that "there might be a Vita version later," but reminded us that the Vita port is being published by Sony and developed by Iron Galaxy. "It would be awesome," he added.
I hate modern first person shooters in general. There is no point in trying to make me care about KZ:M, it's just not going to happen.
The Borderlands games are the only exception because they actually try to do something interesting.
That said, I'm really hoping that this thing sells really well this month and we get a Pre-Sequel Vita announcement on E3. Yeah, I know. Believe.
Which should make the game a bit easier to handle for solo and 2 player co-op players once they get to NG+ and NG++ (TVHM and UVHM).
It might make the first playthrough a bit too easy maybe...but I still think it's a good way to handle things while still keeping the core game intact.

you haven't played Mercenary have you. game is amazing. i dont even like FPS or MP and i'm hooked.
Nobody was trying to make you care about it, but correcting your assumption of this being the first "good" FPS on Vita when that's clearly not true. Okay, so you don't like Killzone, but the game was still well received by Vita fans and critics alike.
Does anyone know if DLC for this will be cross-buy with PS3 DLC?
I have a feeling this is going to sell well. A lot of Vita owners, myself included, buy nearly everything that releases for the thing. Unless critics trash it, it should do well enough to warrant a port of the Pre-Sequel.

I hope so. Now that they have the framework with Borderlands 2 I can see a Pre-Sequel port much sooner. Obviously not launch but maybe within 6 months? dont know. a kinda subpar port of a 2 year old game that many people already own and beat. not the easiest sell.

I'm curious what kind of sales figures Sony expects in order to consider this profitable. But the Vita #HAZNOGAMES thus every owner is legally obligated to buy BL2 or face SmokeyDave's unstoppable wrath
But seriously Vita has a high attach rate and something like this will likely do quite well relative to its install base. I'm not convinced that will be enough to warrant further interest by Gearbox but I think it'll sell fine relatively

Game is awesomeLots of posts here confirming it isn't sub-par.

Wow, that's pretty impressive. It seems the biggest issue is all the pop in, but that isn't a deal breaker. Hopefully this successful and we get the rest of the DLC ported over.

It's missing all the Headhunter packs, Sir Hammerlock's DLC, and Tiny Tina's. I think that's it, although it may also be missing the second level cap DLC.What DLC is the Vita version missing? I was under the impression that it includes everything.

I cannot wait for this to release to those of us who already have Vitas. I'm really tempted to just buy a code off someone, but I want there to be good sales reflection so we get another one in the future. TORN.
are there any videos of late game?
