I like what they are supposedly TRYING to do but I'll believe it when I see it. Which is to say, I'm buying and playing the game but won't last long if it's like BL3. That game was just boring and lame.

I'm leaning toward the same. As much as I hate the dumb writing and yappy NPCs, nothing else really scratches the same itch as Borderlands. Worst case scenario I'll mute the voice volume like I did with 3.

I dont like stutter at the best of times never mind in an FPS. With this being open world as well im not expecting much.

They specifically said they're working hard to make the console version (Xbox/PS) as smooth as possible. It's likely going to be the best way to play at launch.

Which edition should you get if you want the base game + the 4 story DLC that they usually do? I'm considering just getting the base game now and then seeing how the DLC turns out later on...
Also, do you guys think this will be much harder to run than BL3? I know they upgraded the engine from UE4 to UE5 and that the recommended specs list a 3080 which isn't far off from my 3090. I'm planning to play at 4K and assuming I'll need to use DLSS...

Was gonna be day one since Im a fan, finished all borderlands again and their achievements with a friend, but he has a weaker pc and even bl3 he was struggling to keep up with performance so considering this is UE5 it'll prolly run like dogshit on his PC, hell prolly on most pc's. Wil lwait for next year until he upgrades and most likely we will have some dlc content/fixes.
