Gilligan has every fucking detail.
I might be reading it wrong, but those look like college courses to me.

This show has been extremely consistent. This season was really impressive. I'm really interested in where they take the next season. It seems like Walt might become a bad guy.

He already is. Has been for a while.

Oh my god. Series finale cold open: Walt/Brock flashback.

BEST SHOW FUCKING EVER.

Walt used a chunk of his money to rent a ice cream truck and waited outside Andrea's house for Brock to get home from school. CALLING IT NOW.

Yeah, I know. I mean more so from a character in the show perspective. Despite all he does, we've still been able to sort of root for him. I think he might take a harsh left turn in Season 5.

My theory is that Saul did it, he delivers money to Andrea and can easily give Brock some sort of candy or something. He took Walt's side and that's why he left town. He knew if Walt failed at killing Gus, that Jesse AND Gus would be after him.

I couldn't help but notice that Walt was wearing a green shirt for the first time in a while in the final two episodes. That used to sort of be "his" color earlier in the series, but I don't think he wore it much at all this season.

Walt's bright green shirt screamed out to me too. The end of Gustavo looming over Walt, the end of Walt's dark days.

Actually I thought the creepiest awesomest tensest most unsettling funniest thing was the old lady next door to Hector.

"Hi! Hello! Hiiii! Hi there!"

AAAAAAAWTF DAVID LYNCH GIT OUTTA MAH SHOW

Gus on Walt: "He's okay... like a fruit fly's okay."

That was a great moment.

Christ, this incinerating the laundromat scene is just...there's nothing to define it but "completely in control". This show 100% completely gets what it's doing, it is in full control and it his has fucking nailed it, amazingly so.

Wait, so Walt doesn't even need to cook anymore at this point, I mean, the car wash is supposedly doing just fine. So I suspect the next season might be Walt trying to live a "normal" life again, but Karma rears its ugly head right back at him in the form of Hank closing in and Jesse feeling betrayed and manipulated.

holy shit. I've been looking for a good image with "ding ding motherfucker" written on it for over 8 months. Thanks for passing this along.

This episode/season/series was SO FUCKING GOOD. I'm not the only person who followed the AV club's reviews, right? They're a very good commentary to the show in motion, and now this 4 part break down of the season is awesome shit.

Walt's Car Wash, the best Glass Wax in town.

Committing other crimes where you critically endanger the lives of innocents is a better option than accepting responsibility for the choices you made?

Man, I never knew GAF was so filled with so many... interesting future serial killers.

I'm getting dumber every time I read one your posts. Jesus Christ.

He's not meant to be a sympathetic characters. He's a realistic one. Thank goodness the writers don't listen to crap that is spewed on this forum.

The only thing hilarious here is how emotional your getting and then feigning laughter with LOL TRY TO DEFEND WALT ITS COMEDY GOLD LOLOLOLOL

Maybe because you're not actually reading my posts (likely due to your incompetence) and are just kneejerking to make yourself feel better...

...Since this has been my point in all Breaking Bad debates since day one? No shit he's not meant to be sympathetic. That's what these psychos are arguing, that there is some defensible reason for him to do this... that he's still sympathetic.

I know he's not sympathetic. That's why I love the show.

Oh, I can assure you there is no feigning at all. I was literally laughing out loud at the absurd defenses of Walter White. It's hard enough to get me to LOL at anything online, but I've been waiting for this for a while... for Walt to cross that one indefensible line where it'd be impossible to call him sympathetic without being quite obviously insane. This episode finally did it. I can assure you, my friend, the laughter was legit.

Try harder to read next time though :)

So Walt had his Joker laugh and Gus had his Two-Face thing going. Is Jesse the dark knight?

haha didn't think of that

really, how the fuck did the bomb blast his face off in that perfect way? that scene was just so goofy. i can ignore it at least because he died immediately after that shot. Had he survived...jebus

WTF at that pic... Since when is a QB who throws four interceptions not to blame??
Jason Avant is to blame. But that's for the football thread. rofl

Yeah, it was like a perfect explosion. Somewhat cliché but it worked quite well in this case.

I assume we're supposed to believe that as he stood up he instantly turned to run out of the room, hence why the blast got him from the side and not quite head on. Just the way I saw it.

i...guess...whatever it hurts my mind to think about it. Clearly this was a huge liberty the showrunners thought they could get away with, best not to linger on it for long :P

I and the people I was watching with agreed that Gus just walking out and adjusting his tie was on the cheesy side and stretching disbelief even for this show. A better reveal might have been him walking out and just falling on the floor, then the camera panning around to reveal his face.

Meh. Minor complaint.

Of course Walt's not intended to be a wholly sympathetic figure. His moral blind spots make for compelling character drama.

But when fans continue to provide short-sighted excuses for his more heinous actions, I just sorta scratch my head.
