Are you sure it was this show?Kwixotik said:I've never seen this show, but my little brother watched it and then started asking shady people for crystal meth. Goddamn it.
I don't know. He had said a couple times he'd try it once if the chance presented itself. After watching season one he started actively asking people for it. One of those people happened to be a childhood friend of mine who ended up being a drug dealer and he gave me the heads up and told me to fix whatever the hell is wrong with my brother. Asked my brother about it and he said that was a couple weeks ago, someone has already talked him out of it, and he's 100% not going to try it._dementia said:Are you sure it was this show?
Because it doesn't glamorize drugs at all.

Dunno if I believe him though. I'm not blaming the show like a 90s housewife, but it probably did factor into it.
I dunno, Walt having to descend into the meth den to get Jesse was pretty bad.maharg said:I don't think BB glamorizes meth, but it doesn't really do much to show the effects of meth at all. For the most part, people who actually *use* meth in the show are quite rare, and often very functional (Jesse and his friends/cohorts for example). I think there's a deliberate attempt to dissociate Walt's involvement from the consequences. That barrier has broken down slower than other aspects of Walt's moral disintegration, though.

Karaoke Gus must happen.
Hank will dig deeper.DeathNote said:Did they ever explain what Don Eladio knew about Gus?
He let him live because he knew "who he was" and they make a point that little is known about his past in Chile.
His story seems unfinished.

maharg said:What season was that? I really need to do a watch through of the whole series again.
Not just Hank either, after the way Gus went out the entire DEA will start digging deeper.mysticwhip said:Hank will dig deeper.
Copernicus said:Maybe they'll hire someone from dexter... We could see Hank become head of the DEA by season's end.

DeathNote said:What's the purity of southern trailer park meth? There's a lot of meth labs that get busted in the south.
They quarantined a road near me last year because of a "shake and baker" (as Jesse calls it).
Pretty sure we haven't had any mobile ones blown, most of the labs are in homes.Blackace said:At leat once a year a mobile lab blows on I5 in Washington state..
