Just finished the first season of The Shield (from the many recommendations here).

Pretty good so far. It seems like an interesting mixture of both The Wire and Breaking Bad.

I just started S2 last night. What are the best seasons?

It's been years for me, but I remember the seasons less and the story arcs more. You're in for some awesomeness is all I will say.

*Walt goes in the house, brews 100% perfect beer that Hank had been trying for his whole life*

"You're all right Heisenberg."

Start it, and half of your problems will go away. =p

Awesome show.

Sounds and looks decent but not sure if it's my sort of thing, I'll check out an episode though.

Fell off track with Dexter, Fringe, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, and The Walking Dead. For some reason I can't be bothered getting back into those.

One of those won't be true in a couple of weeks, at least.

EDIT: Wait, 6 weeks? ....shit

1 month and 10 days to be precise I believe. :P :(

So pretty much the only way Hank can really get Walt now is to get Walt to do some sort of other unrelated illegal shit or frame him, right?

Yes, so that's the start of the story, how does that add another year to the timeline of the show?

Well, he celebrated his 50th in the pilot and his 51st this season so that's the one year numble was talking about. The flash forward 52 (if that was really his 52nd) is a second year.

I'm going to go ahead and spoil it. The flash forward was actually just an excerpt from when Walt does an episode of Undercover Boss. He buys a bunch of Denny's restaurants to use for distribution. Word is getting around that the food isn't very good, and he doesn't want the FDA snooping around.

He wants to not only figure out why the business isn't where it should be, but he also wants to see why morale is so low with the employees. There will be one employee with a medical issue and he will pay for all the medical expenses. Another employee will want to be a manager and he'll pay for that person to go to a management training program. In the end, he will develop a new respect for the people who make his business run and he will also fine tune his meth distribution.

I wonder how Hank will react when/if he finds out that it was kinda his fault when he took Walt on that bust in the pilot

I feel an insane urge of watching the whole series again.... then freeze myself until the second part of season 5 starts.

Just before the series commences again I will definitely try and burn through the series so every scene is still fresh in my mind. I very rarely do re-runs of series but that tribute video brings back some crazy memories.

I'm gonna try to find someone who hasn't watched the series and do it with me. I want to see the expression on their face during the whole thing.

That's cool. There's a lot of fantastic Breaking Bad fan art out there.
