Please do not let me serve on a jury. I am actually a crazy person.
Any news calling it yet? At 600k down, all of Scotland reported in.. it's gone.

That doesn't make much sense... They won't owe the uk anything. In fact, they have an incentive to punish as harshly as civility permits to maintain internal cohesion. The U.K. Is now a foreign country, not at the table anymore and has to come negotiating like every other country. The terms are unlikely to be as nice as they are for the Swiss, Norwegians and such.

The U.K. had an opportunity to play a major role. Now it's just a minor player surrounded by big dogs.

I'd rather the EU makes improvements to make it more attractive to stay, than use the threat of punishment as an incentive...

The financial systems are still globally linked, London is still the financial capital of the world

For the next eight hours or so.

That's kind of the thing about a globally linked international banking system, it turns out you can pretty much put the buildings anywhere and things mostly work the same.

WALES: SOS! HELP! CAN ANYONE HEAR US? PLEASE RESPOND!

EU: What seems to be the problem?

WALES: THERE'S A COCKING DRAGON AND ITS BURNING EVERYONE ALIVE! HELP!

EU: As one of our many contributions to your great nation, we installed expensive sonar equipment that kept the red winged menace trapped deep within the bowels of the Earth and dormant. You chose to abandon that program on June 23rd 2016. Our technicians inform us that without regular upkeep and costly crystarium ore fuel the Anti-Dragon machines would fail within the year. We wish you all the best.

WALES: FFFFFFFFFFFFFF-

DOW is now down about 500 points in the futures. I'm gonna be doing some buying tomorrow after people overreact by panic selling.

At this rate they might call it within the next two hours

How many of the leave politicians wanted Scotland to remain? Seems like this could definitely lead to another referendum which would result in separation.

"I want my country back", what the fuck does that even mean? It basically translates to "I want everyone in Britian to be British!"

It's just racism.

No it is not. It means they want full sovereignty of the country and feel joining the EU was a mistake from the start.

Projecting Leave voters as all racists has not been very effective during the campaign, its not going to be helpful afterwards either. Particularly if they are the majority.

So since we're about to leave the EU, wtf do I do if my GF can't get her rather important medication? What if we can't get trade from the required countries? The fact this is even a concern is fucking ridiculous. Ashamed of this country.

I am honestly proud of my fellow peeps in the UK. I was a leave voter but I was fully expecting remain to win. I honestly did not think this country had any fucking balls left to vote for leave. I am so glad they have found the balls to do this.

On another note god I would love to see Davey Camerons fucking face right now.

When the economy goes to shit and the racists/bigots/idiots are empowered, don't come crying to anyone. It's on you.

Just checked the results for my area.

Wolverhampton

37.43% Remain

62.57% Leave

Yikes. Expected a diverse city like that to vote Remain.

I gotta think the moaning and wailing is a bit overdone.

Last time i visited the UK I couldn't spend Euros, had to go through passport control, and so on and so forth. Whatever the UK re-negotiate regarding free trade agreements etc with the mainland are not going to contain special "punishment-you-left" clauses. The financial systems are still globally linked, London is still the financial capital of the world and I'm damn sure it is going to save its own skin. Some people are talking as though england is migrating to the moon or something.

It has been trading back and forth with NYC since WWI, but it is certainly over now.
