I love how people don't get the irony of my Braveheart pic. I do agree with the UK leaving the EU, as I hate the EU and what it has done to certain countries. Specifically, I think Merkel is on a power trip and carrying on the history of Germans controlling other nations.

However, the use of the Braveheart pic is hilarious to me because Scotland has been dragged into all this because of England. Maybe sad for some but the irony in it was just too good to pass up.

On another note, that was the most epic FREEEEEEEDOOOOOOOM scream I could think of.

I hope with the already big changes that have occurred you're actually re-thinking your decision to support this.

Jesus tap dancing christ. What news to wake up to, once it's sunk in I'll have the heart to analyse the results. For now I'm sipping a cup of tea and hoping the economy doesn't crater too hard.

Congrats Leave, you won.

Hey if I had foreign currency that I forgot to change back to pounds from holidays (dollars mainly) does this mean I'll be able to get plenty of pounds from it as they're cheap

To try and look for any positives, you see

Absolutely insane how we're actually gonna leave the EU. Leave have been noisy etc but I didn't think the majority would actually go against remian!

Wait till Cameron resigns and the reality of Brexit sinks in. Currency will sink lower.

I'd hold off for a bit before changing it back and profiting. This is probably not the bottom.

So...it's gonna take 2 years for us to negotiate Brexit. In that 2 years can we have an indy ref 2 for Scotland, vote yes, leave Britain and join the EU? Wishful thinking and tbh it makes no difference. This is a dark day for the uk. Time to buckle in and see how badly this is gonna fuck me and my family. Good luck UK GAF.

Hahahah holy shit I can't believe leave will probably win. This is insane. David Cameron is probably going down as the worst prime minister since Neville Chamberlain.

You will also make political decision that your future children have to live with.
Its really disgusting to me that some now insult old people for using their democratic right they are much longer here, have seen much more and have had much more experience.
In the past old people were a seen as a treasure drove of knowledge and experience today they get insults if they dont vote "right".

Having experience doesn't necessarily mean that one is making the best decision. They are still prone to mistakes simply because they're human.

So Mr Jaunker

Next time we say we want a new deal, you will listen...

Let's not forget had Cameron's reform been anything offer that pathetic we would of probably voted to remain...the EU had a hand in this

There won't be a next time, that's the whole point. Muppet.

Scotland will now almost certainly leave Britain, forcing the UK to get a new flag, and probably forcing them to have to drop the 'Great' from their name. The irony of Leave using the Union Flag as their symbol will not be lost to historians.

Scotland is far from having voted 'overwhelmingly' to stay in the EU. I can't see any justification for calling another referendum on their independence.
Looking at the results breakdown, every section of Scotland polled voted to Remain, and above the national average.

That's a significant mandate.

It has begun. The next global recession won't be caused by banks, but by idiotic voters.

We have a grand tradition of this, after all the great depression was caused by protectionist tariffs.

Though I don't believe this decision will significantly impact economic fundamentals like those tariffs did.

The UK will get a slightly worse deal from the EU for access to the EU market and the world will go on as if nothing else much has changed. It's not like the UK and the EU are going to stop trading with each other.

Holland.. Just no. We're just about big enough to recover from this but you'd plunge yourselves into poverty.

Right, Holland (and the rest of NL :p) is essentially just an extended part of the German economy. Leaving the common market would be economic suicide. Of course, that doesn't at all mean people here won't vote to leave anyway.

Fuck off. 48% of Brits DIDN'T want this, should we be punished too?

Wtf man why would you want people to suffer from their country leaving the EU ?

I hope the UK can stay strong and recover from this and I hope the EU learn from this and starts acting STRONG reform or other countries will follow. I'm French and I think we'd probably vote leave if a referendum was held tomorrow. Most people want to stay in the EU just because they're scared that going back to our old currency would wreak our economy but a majority of french people absolutely hate the EU.

What an utterly idiotic thing to say. You want to ruin the lives off millions of people purely out of spite?

UK leaving will leave a precedence for everyone else to follow. The two main things for me that leaving represents is: a) the strenght of anti-EU movements and b) the strenght of nationalist, right-wing propaganda

Egoistically i hope that the reprecussions of the UK leaving will show that both of those paths are terrible and will prevent my own country of doing the same.

So does the UK have any leverage when it comes to the trade agreements it is going to have to negotiate with the EU? I'm not seeing any. The EU is going to come at them with a vengeance.

Absolutely devastated.

Not sure what we are going to do. Didn't believe the country would ever go this way.

Possibly moving to Singapore. Have to find out what work says this morning.

Totally doable. And totally advisable too.

I can't believe this. I have no horse in this race since I'm from the US, but I'm in shock right now. Can't begin to imagine how you Brits who voted to stay must be feeling right now. Your whole fucking lives have potentially been turned upside down because the xenophobes got their way.
