LA Noire comes with a 10 dollar credit as well. Anyone from the US that doesn't use amazon.com to buy their games from is on crack. No tax immediately knocks 6-7 bucks right off the bat as well.

I do sometimes. It says me $3.60 on sales tax but I do a lot of trades as once I complete a game I'm done with it. I know Amazon does trades as well but I'm an impatient bastard.

Whenever I'm super psyched for a game that's about to come out (like I am with Brink), I find it really hard to play any other game because they all of a sudden feel so stale and boring. One week to go and I have no idea what game I should be playing right now to take up some of my time.


I think I'm going to focus all my energy to getting a Gears of War 3 beta code. WoW and Battlefield 2 Bad Company are not cutting it for me right now.

How so? I've felt like it's under advertised, and rather closed off when it comes to information, which is NOT good PR in my opinion. The lack of a demo is questionable at best.

Judging by the fact that most people I know are aware of the game. Even people who have no clue, usually. Also, the movies explaining the game have been quite successful in luring people in.

No demo, however, seems like a testament to how badly the game will run on pcs

Question. You can deck out your characters with 20 abilities, out of the total 58. They carry over across a class, so having, say, Battle Hardened, will apply to your Soldier as well as your Operative.

But they are tied to your character, right? If I want to make a specialised Soldier character with abilities suited to him and another specialised Engineer character, I would have to level both of them up apart from each other. And do you have to unlock the 58 abilities with challenges, or is the level requirement enough. And is respeccing with regards to abilties in the game?
