Obviously I'm not setting rules or anything (so back down anti-authoritarianGAF) but I'd like to discourage sending payments as a "gift" in general. When you send payments as a gift it leaves you completely unable to contest it and get your money back if something should go wrong in your trade. I understand that PayPal takes fees from it if it's business as usual. Sellers should start factoring that in when they sell their stuff. There's enough issues in this very thread that might have been preventable if people had done so.

The fee is like 2.9% + 30 cents if it's no greater than $200.

For instance, someone sent me a payment of $15.50, Paypal took 2.9% of that which is 45 cents + their 30 cent fee. So I got $14.75.

We don't just add someone to GAF Gold even if they have hundreds of positive trades in the old thread. In cases like yours, we wait for a few positive trades in the thread before we add them to the list as Gold. The reason for that is so that someone can't just get gold status and then sit on it forever. It's primarily for people who are still actively trading and there is no specific criteria for making it other than you have to have a bunch of positive trades and have been around on GAF for a while. Outside of that, addition to the list is entirely subjective. So if you get a few more trades in, we'll probably add you to the list.

The fact that you are new and using the list as a personal thing is very counterproductive. Your reaction to the messages here isn't very encouraging either.

I'm not being a jerk about anything. I've tried every way I can to explain this to you and you keep bothering me about it. Also, I didn't make the current user feedback list. MidnightScott and Zaraki_Kenpachi did. I'm helping out with it. I don't know how "new" you think I am, but I've been posting on GAF for quite a few years now. I'm not new by any stretch and I have literally no idea why you think pulling your perceived rank on me is going to change anything here.

I've logged my feedback from the past few years with links to the posting, dates, and total. To take a large sample size and reduce it to a thread which is only 36 pages old...it makes no sense.

Terrific. This is what I'm going to recommend for you. If you want to deal with someone on here, you have positive feedback in this very thread so that isn't going to be an issue for you. My suggestion to you would be to use those logs and send them to anyone you're trying to do business with or link to some of it in a listing post. Do you have any idea how large the old thread is? I literally don't have time to go through it and log all of the positive feedback from it. None of the people who update the list are being paid for this or receiving any real benefit for it. We're doing this to try to make trading here a better experience for everyone.

I don't know why you had to take this approach. You are new around here and far less active in the selling threads. For you to have this kind of attitude over something this small? It's just very questionable.

There is no need for any of this. Over feedback. In a thread yousparingly use. That is the point.

You really just don't get it do you? If you are trying to use a list of user-submitted feedback so that you have a better idea of who you're dealing with, it's better to have a list with fairly accurate information where nobody got preferential treatment. You're not just going to get a higher "status" on the list because you asked for it. And it doesn't matter how often I use the thread to buy or sell things. That is completely irrelevant.
