Hey guys, I am thinking about selling my 60 gb bc ps3. What is a fair selling price? Most likely selling to a friend locally but just what people think is a fair price.

It is a gamestop refurbished but have never had a problem with it

You can probably get around $250-$300. The older BC PS3's hold their value pretty well. Ebay is a good indicator.

Hmm, I've heard of that. But I could put an item in a box clearly marked as "flat rate medium", but when I get there I would be able to tell them to just "send it by weight" and they would comply? Without having to cover over it? Or would I have to do that?

If you just magic marker over some of the old markings you're not using it should be fine. It's more of a nusance for them to have it say one thing and then the sticker to say another. UPS kind of does similar where they would like you remove old labels, etc. but I don't think they force you to.

Every post office I've been to has been very adamant about package labels and pre-printed packaging. If the box say "X Shipping Method" they'll require you use X Shipping Method.

If it's a pre printed box, go to the dollar store; get some brown shipping wrap and wrap that box up.

It's a hard sell because it's in Japanese. Most people don't want that, and would rather wait for the English-language version. That's why it has been snapped up, even here on NegoGAF, arguably one of the most hardcore-gaming places around. If no one on GAF wants it, chances are good it won't sell on eBay either.
