As far as I know it's ok but please don't do that. Best offer/ PM me offers posts are so annoying. At least do an X amount OBO and if you get several people who want it then they can have a price war. If you want to straight up auction it off, just go to an auction site. It's better set up for it and frankly you'll probably get more interest. I generally don't bother if people aren't setting prices.

I think it's also a little unfair to your buyers to do it like that. I'm sure you're a stand up guy but a less scrupulous person could come up with phantom buyers to try to wrangle a higher price from the interested party. I don't think it's too fair to expect them to take it on faith that you're not trying to simply drive the price up. Additionally, I don't think it's fair to make them appraise your item if you're not willing to set a price yourself.

Yes, you can, though I believe the general consensus is that most people don't bother bidding on a OBO post. They'd rather know the price, and pay it.

yes, but unless it's a very obscure/rare thing that can't be priced, you may as well pick a price you want for it because it's very easy to get the accurate value of a game these days. Usually "Best Offer" requests = no sale for me personally, as I don't want the hassle of waiting for PMs back and forth. Sucks because a lot of "best offer" guys in this thread have stuff I'd be interested in.

Like someone else said, you can always tag "or best offer" after the price if you're unsure of whether it'll sell.
