No it wasn't on Gaf, but this is the first time I've heard of "carded keys". Needless to say I will no longer buy GOG keys unless it's direct from GOG.

This can happen anywhere. Even on steam people can sell you gifts that been bought with a stolen credit card and then the gift will get revoked a few days later when a chargeback is done.

I wouldn't blame GOG, i would blame the seller of the key and next time make sure the seller is legit. Often times if it seems too good to be true, it probably is (i.e. region free rocket league gifts for 5$ each, come get em fast!).

However, it has since been returned to its complete packaging, which retains the unused ME3 code. There is a small tear on the top of the box from trying to open it. I wound up opening it from the bottom.

This can happen anywhere. Even on steam people can sell you gifts that been bought with a stolen credit card and then the gift will get revoked a few days later when a chargeback is done.

I wouldn't blame GOG, i would blame the seller of the key and next time make sure the seller is legit. Often times if it seems too good to be true, it probably is (i.e. region free rocket league gifts for 5$ each, come get em fast!).

Yeah, not gonna lie, the price the kid gave me was unbelievable. Like I said, I already had the Hero edition on steam and couldn't pass up what I thought was a great deal. Lesson learned.
