Holy shit. How long are the games you guys play? Couldnt imagine even 30 kills.

30 kills is good, but I wouldn't really say it's high. Hell, 30 kills was nothing back in the Chopper Gunner/AC-130 days. 32-2 on Hijacked is pretty impressive though considering how nutty that one is. I usually just break even Haven't found a good battle plan for that one yet.

I think the best I've done in this is around 54-11 (something like that) on Nuketown with low level killstreaks (I believe Stealth Chopper was the highest I used). I doubt even that is considered high for Nuketown, but I haven't really spent much time playing it in this.

Outside of Nuketown, I think the best I did was 47-4 on um... Overflow (I'm terrible with map names). Again with low level stuff, mostly gun kills on that one.

I just started using Warthog and Swarm today (for a bit before I Prestiged) and surprisingly when I did manage to get a Swarm, I didn't end up with nearly as many kills as those previous games. The damn Warthog hasn't been doing very well for me When I get back up to that level I'm ditching it for the VTOL Warship or the Dogs and hope they do better.

Once you're comfortable getting up to a Stealth Chopper you shouldn't have too much trouble working your way to the higher ones with its help.

Ditch the UAV, and try going Lighting Strike with Hardline (to help getting the Chopper), Chopper then something a little higher than the Chopper and see how that works out for you.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you. I had a 2.17 K/D in the first BLOPS, and I could get any killstreak with ease. Tonight I had several games where the lag was so bad I barely managed to get one UAV each game. I have a great connection, so I don't know why it keeps giving the enemy team such a massive advantage over me.

I ended up shelving the game after tonight. I just prestiged for the first time and I'm already completely burned out. The game is just so tiring to play right now.

I consider that good because I had .70 - .80 in the old COD games. Also had a 16-3 game in Turbine recently. Game is great when you're doing great.

I wasn't giving him advice on getting a UAV. I was giving him advice on how to get the mid level/higher killstreaks (which is what he was quoting) once he's more comfortable with it. Being more comfortable with the game being the key point. Does everything have to be an argument here? Jesus.

Obviously I don't expect him to just start earning them right away because I told him to, but I'm sure he'll work up to it. I'm sure once he gets out of TDM and starts playing objective modes it'll be a hell of a lot easier to get a lighting strike, so there's my advice. Stop playing TDM.

The spawns are beyond broken due to how small the maps are. The lag compensation is a 50/50 thing, but the revenge spawns are out of control. They need to implement some sort of temporary spawn invincibility just to give you a fighting chance. Half the time I'm terrified to click 'Respawn' because I know someone is just waiting to shoot me in the back.

I was no where near as good as you in BLOPS 1, but I still managed to get the higher streaks if I tried. Here even with hardline it's getting more and more difficult as the game goes on. Decided to take a break from multiplayer and complete the campaign over the last couple days. I think this is my favorite CoD campaign to date, MW1 is a close second. The levels in the past were mostly decent, with a couple standouts

controlling Menendez going apeshit and slaughtering an entire army with a machete was fun

. The future levels were all really well done though, I hope the next BLOPS takes place entirely in that timeline. The vehicle sections were actually quite fun, especially the

VTOL section, since unlike BF3, I actually got to CONTROL the jet (mostly, I realize it was basically a rail shooter)

I spare Menendez, he breaks out and kills Woods, then later digs up his sister's grave and burns himself alive. I realize this likely won't be canon, but after watching the other endings on Youtube, it's by far my favorite.

The soundtrack was another surprise, not just Trent Reznor's theme (which I really enjoyed), but even the level to level stuff was quite good, made me purchase the OST right afterward. Didn't realize until I bought it that it was done by Jack Wall (Mass Effect 1&2), he's quickly becoming one of my favorite game composers.

Speaking of audio, I really need to get better at multi so I can call in more Warthogs! The sound on that thing is AMAZING.

They should have kept at least the two strike packages from MW3 for this, there are enough scorestreaks to go around and it would have like half the amount of UAVs in the sky as the Assault package wouldn't have access to it.

I mostly play Domination and Kill Confirmed so K/D doesn't mean as much to me. But I think my best games I've gone like 25-15 with 5 or 6 captures and as many as 15 defends.

In Kill Confirmed I know one game I went 25-23 with nearly 30 confirms and 10+ denies.

When I do play TDM I either go really shitty, like 9-16 or I go like 8-3 or 7-4 when I play super conservative.

Personally I never go straight for B after taking the starting flag either. Either I skip the starting flag and make a break for B right away and hope I can get it first, or I take the starting flag, then run around the edge of the map to the enemies starting flag and go for that in an attempt to either take it or distract them long enough for my team to get B.

I always bust straight for B on any map. You have to. There are a couple of maps where depending on which side (A or C) your team starts off at you -must- prevent the other team from getting a grip on B or the match is as good as lost. This is because B is sometimes much easier to control from one side vs. the other. This is a real problem on Drone, for example.

Yeah, the spawns can be bad (smaller maps with everyone running everywhere, there's bound to be a bad spawn), but I assure you MW3 is tons worse as a run and gunner. Since many of you played more defensively and less frenetically in MW3, you might be seeing more bad spawns in this game. But if you were a rusher in MW3, the spawns were nothing short of ridiculous. I believe Treyarch will polish up the game within a month or two. They did the same for Black Ops.

Actually intentionally putting care packages outside of the map can be a valid tactic. You can recover them from a distance with a black hat tactical and if you have engineer you can even do it through walls. Prevents your care package from getting stolen by anyone not also using a black hat.

Yeah, in that gif the package was an EMP and I was able to get it with Black Hat. I just thought it was funny. Need to figure out a way for FRAPS to not record the game like trash, though lol

Black Hatx2 + Engineer is the best tactical in the game for ranking up. You get sooooo many points here and there for hacking betties and shock charges (not too many people using claymores yet). Much easier than destroying them with your gun. And wallhacking a Guardian or Sentry, while it can take a little while, can really benefit your team.

I don't use Black Hat for aerial killstreaks, though. No need to with the Stinger.

You gotta play Ground War (best version of TDM), Demolition, Hardpoint, and Search. Even CTF supposedly has an ok rendition in Black Ops 2.

Ugh. It's so hard to get a good streak going in this game for some reason. Didn't have this issue in BO1 or even MW3 the little I did play. Been going back and forth between the gamepad and the Wii remote and it's the same thing. Then again I don't think I played either of them at launch. I'm dying before I see someone in front of me. Die suddenly only to see someone running up behind me out of nowhere when I'm sure they weren't there before and others had just been in the area . They couldn't have spawned that quick could they? Forget about aiming down sights as well. Almost always seems to get me killed. Glad I'm using the Wiimote as an option so I can hip fire easier. Then there is shooting directly at someone only to hit nothing when I have them right in my sights and for them to kill me. Then see in the kill cam that I am actually shooting right at them but it's doing nothing to them. UGH.

Starting think I'll give Zombies more attention to see if I can get used to the maps. Until sever issues, if that's what they are, can be fixed.

I consider myself a fairly good player, sometimes great. That fucker, grrant or whatever, is a beast. There are very few players who can flat out just outplay me like this, he can. If you see him in a lobby, drop out. Just drop out. You will get curbstomped. His killstreaks were VSAT, Dogs, and Swarm. I had UAV, Silent Gunner, Dogs. Opposing team was getting fucked up. They were just getting mowed over.

So did they completely remove tracking kills from your attachments and leveling them up, etc? It seems like it is much harder to look at how effective specifics perks, etc. are now. Do they no longer level up too? The challenges are not as evident.
