First impressions:

Campaign - weird first mission, bad performance, disappointing overall

Multiplayer - I like every single map so far, performance is solid, connects to games in a split second.

What does the three lane design mean?

So, about 2 hours played. TTK feels just right. Lots of Overwatch specialists.

Quick note about PC:
I have i5 2500k OC'd to 4.2ghz and GTX 970 stock. 12gb (was 16gb, 1 4gb stick died) of DDR3 1333 ram. Running on SSD. I used Nvidia GeForce Experience to autotune the game. Running at 1920x1200 (16:10)

Gpu Temp Min/Max: 29c/58c
Gpu Usage Min/Max: 45%/87%
Gpu Vram Min/Max: 3145mb/4067mb
Cpu Temp Min/Max 37c/66c

Haven't seen any drop in FPS, though I've only played MP. I did experience the 100% cpu usage when I booted the game for the first time, but after about 20 seconds, it was gone and never seen again.

Had a few really good rounds, and then some really bad rounds. Fun either way. Good times.

The maps are fucking great. All of them are unique enough to do their own thing. It's not just 12 versions of "there are two lanes and a building in the middle" like every AW map.

Played just a few matches on MP and it's excellent so far. Maps flow well, and are visually appealing. Everything seems very snappy with connections to matches and lobbies. Can't wait to really dive into this over the weekend.

Treyarch really need to sort their audio work out. Guns all sound like they're firing pellets and grenades exploding sound like someone's covering them with a pillow. It's really noticable coming straight from the excellent sound work in Halo 5.

Ttk seems low, going to take some getting used to. I loved AW's ability to dash because it meant it wasn't about "who shoots first" every time (something which promotes camping). Seems like blops is completely back to that.

some of the bigger weapons sound good on my audio system, but i miss the Sound Design from Black Ops 2

Question about the Campaign; in AW the moment I checked out of the story was when you-know-who was revealed to be the main villain, I felt like that was a huge waste of potential where they could've tried something different.

Is there a similar thing in Black Ops 3? Wasted potential?

Lol, reading that Polygon review and how Advanced Warfare had better maps and controls... yeah get the hell out here with that garbage. That game was a terrible COD game.

Advanced Warfare was a terrible Call of Duty game, but it was the best Crysis game.

Man campaign is downright awful playing over 3 hours and have no idea what is going on and seems rushed like weird game moments. It has a good idea but very very poor execution.

Just played a match that was 3 v 3 for a bit and we were kicking their asses but it was going really slow. So then like 4 people joined in on their team so it was 7 v 3. We still won. It was like 7 v 3 for a bit even. Not like for the very end of the match.

Also anyone expect the XR-3 nerf in the very first patch? XD

AW was great. Best cod in a long time, finally did something different and had a much higher skill potential with the movement. A lot of my friends which notoriously like to camp who couldn't get a hang of the movement also disliked it. Not saying your play style is like that but I can see why it'd make people dislike the game.

It was the best cod since Black Ops 2.

Seriously though any night maps .. ?

Any early players here that have also played Halo 5 I have a few questions.

Is the aiming good vs. Halo?

Are the maps fun and varied?

Is there microtransactions to get weapon/perk advantages or can you do it without spending money?

Not trying to start a war, just want some honest opinions, I am honestly disappointed with Halo 5's MP offerings and to me Halo is feeling clunky as hell and I've made it to rank 31+ already so lots of time and effort sunk into giving it a fair chance =/

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
I don't like it. I've played shit fucking all of both the campaign and multi, but nothing about this appeals to me. It feels weird to play, like the aiming and movement are off. The campaign is boring as fuck, lifeless and sterile shooting galleries, and totally devoid of that cheesy revisionist history globe trotting charm of the previous two BLOPS (and what I thought made this particular branch of CoD distinct). The menus and UI are a hideous mess of incoherent icons and options and non-organisation and bla bla bla. All the guns look like cheapo faux-sci fi knockoffs of modern weapons.

In my defence Call of Duty as a series has long been dwindling in appeal. Ghosts and Advanced Warfighter really set me up for no longer enjoying the campaigns at all, and falling out of the loop with the multiplayer design. Came back for BLOPS3 hoping for some of that BLOPS1/2 silly magic but I'm not finding it.

And I totally accept this might be just a taste thing, and maybe this is the best iteration of multiplayer the series has had in ages or whatever. I just clearly don't give a shit any more. Feels bad man, to play.

Oh also, the sound mix is fucking terrible on my PC. I'm trying to identify if it's a game setting, or my sound card, or the mix itself, or what. But the audio levels are all over the place and completely inconsistent. Like, reloads sometimes far louder than gunfire.

Opinions and everything, but I just can't agree. Advanced Warfare was an unbalanced and unfun mess. Just because you can't camp, doesn't mean it was a well made MP game.

AW had better maps? I can understand not being a fan of the three lane design, but still... Oh boy.

You accidentally answered most of questions about the game, thank you for that! Have you by any chance played Halo 5? I'd like your brutally honest opinion on it if you have, no sarcasm.

Thanks =)

So if I chose a specialist and unlock one of his "powers" can I unlock the second one later too? or is that not possible?
