I'm no expert, so take this with a grain of salt, but I did play the campaign co-op locally with a friend a couple of hours ago, and each cutscene played separately on each of our split screens. This is a shot in the dark but I think they might have rendered cutscenes at 30 fps for co-op but didn't render a separate 60 fps version for single player.

The cutscenes in the campaign are real time, they weren't rendered separately.
They put a hard cap the moment a sequence starts and unlock it the instant it finishes.

A bit shit, probably to do with animations perhaps, BF: Hardline did the same and it was annoying.

Characters and some of the environments get rendered at a higher quality in cutscenes compared to gameplay so they put a lock not to hide the framerate drop.

Just picked my XB1 Elite bundle last night which included BO3 and I'm really enjoying it which was expected considering I liked the beta.

Question for those using the Elite controller, has anyone got a good setup going that seems to be working for them?

You heard me

If you like shooting someone over and over and they don't die but all that gun fire attracts their team mates....oh and if you love games that are 85% grenades, get halo

If you like head shottng enemies 5 times in a row and they are still alive, go play halo

I think that you maybe just aren't very good at Halo. That's totally fine, but that's a very unfair way to respond to someone looking for actual help with their question.

I wonder if reviewers that gave this game an 8 or more ever played a good online fps

Invisible walls everywhere, bad map design, camping is rewarded. Seriously?

Not sure if serious, BETA was amazing, me and my friends all bought the game because that BETA and the gameplay, maps were brilliant :)

Will be playing online tomorrow with my mates for more in depth look.

Conc nades are still too strong by about 1 second, having to run tac mask while people are carrying 2 of them.

I'm having trouble getting used to the weird recoil/drift of the guns when you fire.

I have someone lined up, pull the trigger and then my gun starts shaking and drifting up and down and all over the fucking place.

Driving me crazy. Maybe more realistic, but it's not fun to me.

Burst-shooting doesn't help either because the aiming doesn't self-correct.

Off to work,

My initial thoughts is it's not a upgrade on ghosts or AW. It's COD and that's about it. If you haven't picked it up yet wait to get $15-$20 off on a Black friday sale because you aren't missing anything if you just play AW for another few weeks.

Played all night.

Not too impressed with the netcode either, feels worse than Ghosts, and not even half as good as Halo 5, kind of disappointed, I was expecting smooth dedicated servers everywhere. Maybe it'll smooth out over the weekend as more people get online and the population spreads? Not nearly as bad as BO2 or MW3 on launch at least.

This was my main beef last night. Played three games and every match was plagued with varying degrees of stuttering and rubber banding. After 30 hours of smooth Halo 5 MP it was pretty disappointing. Didn't have this problem with the beta (or in any other recent CODs I've played) so hopefully it'll smooth out.

Well me buying the Nuketown code from eBay didn't go to plan , Guy messaged me saying his having a problem with codes so has issued me a refund. Damn.

You're right, it's been ten years since I played halo mp, what was refreshing for me then isn't for me now

Shame hearing about the net code. Currently in love with halo 5 and I was thinking about picking this up since I never got a chance to enjoy blops 1 or 2.

I picked up AW last year in hopes id enjoy the franchise again (haven't bought one since mw2), but was disappointed completely in the net code being so ass.

I'll wait a little longer for more impressions but halo 5s dedicated servers have spoiled me. I really want to give this game a shot.

Disappointed in most of the specialist customization options. They're mostly recolors of two different bodies or a different camo on 3 different heads.

Outrider is still bae regardless.

I just want to confirm something for you guys.

Buying the digital standard edition today will still give you Nuketown, even though it doesn't say so before purchasing. I confirmed this on PSN this morning.

Did not preorder.
How do I get nuketown besides buying physical? In EU it seems to be included up untill 30/11, but only in the deluxe edition? Is it the same case in the US, I'd prefer to pay 52 euro instead of 70!

In some of EU you can find it in the normal retail boxes in the supermarkets. At least in France and Luxembourg.
Normal edition with free nuketown for 50 EUR.

If you play Halo 5 and/or Titanfall you'll see how worse the movement system is.
Beta maps were really good and double jumps/wallrunning were useful, but most of the maps I've played today don't have those, and would've been better in a more "classic" COD.
Breach is really good, Infection would've been a great classic map, same with Metro and Stronghold.

I can't understand why they're moving COD to a different game. I loved COD4 and accepted that you don't make those masterpieces every year, but I don't want one of my favourite series to turn into something else.

Yes I noticed that, however it makes no sense to do so when I am opening a door or climbing a car, or accessing a computer.

Sounds like to you the game is more ground based than you would expect? Which should be music to some people's ears. I think the maps you are layed today did have them, but they're so optional it doesn't matter if you use them or not. Has that "play the way you like" style to it

After playing a few matches this morning I had a lot of fun with it. It plays just as good as the beta did and I can't wait to get more into it. The netcode was a little off this morning with a lot of players jumping around, but I think that will be sorted out as more people come online during the day.

So the end of that first mission is pretty damn dark huh?

Haha yea, I thought the end of mission one in advanced warfare was grim...what next year?
You get decapitated and survive?
haha.

Just finished mission 2, 1 & 2 took me about an hour and a half on hardened, with target assist and auto aim turned off. Seems like the sweet spot for solo, keeping the challenge and a back and forth in battles but not so slow that the narrative throughout the mission loses steam. I gotta be honest, I really like it so far. The story is much what you'd expect. Nothing too clever yet but it's presented really well, slick scene transitions, great music, good set moments so far. Some people seem kind of down on it, I'll have to see as I go on. I'm liking it.

I wouldn't say the areas seem big though for 4 player support. Bigger than they used to be, definitely, and more flexible for me as a single player to try different approaches, especially with all the abilities you get. 4 players thougH? I don't know. Does cmapaign have matchmaking? I'm a jimmy no mates but I wouldn't mind trying it out.

This game feels weird. It doesn't feel smooth, and something's wrong with the mouse movement. I'm also disappointed my computer (GTX 780, 16GM of RAM) can't run this game on anything other than medium for a somewhat 60fps.

The first time the game wouldn't load up, then it wouldn't connect online, and by the end of my matches, no button presses worked so couldn't even quit the game on PC.

I've read about frame drops and dynamic resolution on PS4 - Is this the case on XB1 as well? I've got it pre-ordered for PS4, bit will switch if there is much of a difference in performance.

Why exactly is Xbox One between 900p and1080p? According to AngryCentaurGaming it is, but wasn't AW's campaign 1080p?

That being said, i was surprised by the praise from him, but after all he said i can understand. There seem to be plenty of improvements and new features for the campaign and it seems there's a shitload of content here. Absolutely did not expect that. Might pick it up next year probably.

Buying boxed retail PS4 pre-ordered from Best Buy + $5-off Digital Pass what do I get?

From what I can tell:

Season Pass: 4 DLC packs TBA
The Giant Zombies
Nuk3town

Any customization stuff with this setup? It ends up being $48 + $45 and $10 in rewards ($93 and a $10 certificate) vs $99. So right around $17 less.

Will I be regretting not getting super rare skins for weapons or something?
