Man, this campaign is pissing me off. I'm only playing on normal and I'm getting my ass kicked. Every level is cluster fuck of enemies everywhere, grenade spam and those armored assholes who are way too difficult to kill, and they also limited the checkpoints. And why do I have to change the fucking tactical mode after every level! Also, the traversal sucks. It's like titanfall but shit

? even on realistic it's relatively simple to get through. Just equip a sniper with thermal and move around with active camo.

So I was playing survival solo on The Giant and after a while (I think it was round 26 or 27) my speed cola stopped speeding up my reloads. Even after going down and buying it again, it's main function no longer worked.

Is that just a thing that happens if you survive for "too long"?

PSA - Do NOT use Laser Sight on the Haymaker. It tightens the spread which means hip firing wont be as effective. I have been struggling with that gun for a week now. I lose every 1v1 battle, but now I take out fools across the room no problem.

Drift0r fucked up when he highly recommended the laser sight. Long Barrel and Rapid Fire should be enough.

Laser sight did help me when going for headshots though.

How necessary is high caliber on KN?

And I prestiged my trusty Gorgon, but I'm going to level it up and put rapid fire on that bad boy.

Laser Sight is better if you're accurate, given that you get bonus damage based on how many pellets actually land on target.

If you're inaccurate or just spamming it then yes, you might want a wider spread so you have a higher chance of any pellet landing.

Doesn't really matter with the Haymaker. Haymaker is always 3 shots minimum and usually 3 shots maximum. Stupid, but that's what the nerf did. Accuracy only matters for longer ranged encounters, because at a distance, it's possible to get 3 hitmarkers and not get a kill.

Bah.

Hate the fact that you have to unlock ALL specialist stuff to get to the Hero part. They should've just ... <cant be bothered>

Anyway, I enjoy this game much more than I did with AW and Ghosts. I can live with the Haymaker though. That other shotgun, the semi-automatich one (Breci?) is way more OP atm.

That is a good video. Feeding the enemy killstreaks is something I never really thought of. I always go for caps captures in domination (and it feels like I am the only one many times). I usually end up with the most captures but on the flip side yes, I am the guy who ends up going 10-25.

Going forward I guess I will back off going for captures and lean more toward playing less aggressive and going for kills.

Yeah, it's something to consider, but at the same time, going for objectives is good. I guess a good balance? If you're unsure if someone's guarding the objective, maybe just be cautious? Getting kills guarding a flag in Dom nets an extra +25 per kill which adds up fast.

Yeah, my friend is not used to playing CoD and kept doing the same thing. I kept trying to explain the whole feeding the scorestreak thing and to play the game slightly selfishly, but he just didnt get it lol.

I have no idea how the spawns work in Domination. it confuses the hell out of me, but what I've found is that you get 1.25x points for a defend kill. You get 2x points for a capture kill but you are a sitting duck and its just not worth it. The best players usually clear out an entire area before rushing in for a capture.

That's what Drift0r said but i would take that with a grain of salt. To me, Rapid fire has a very noticeable effect on the rate of fire. Drift0r has been wrong before (the comments section in his Haymaker video is hilarious) so I'd recommend you try it out for yourself.

I'm rocking the Razorback with rapid fire now. I think I might be winning more close quarter battles now. I still get melted by Vespers but other SMGs? It's a toss up. I gather, the suppressor doesn't help, but there's just something about picking people off one by one without them knowing. :D

I think so. The fact that it's a Lvl 50 unlock is why I used my perm on it - I'd barely use it otherwise. Try it out for a few matches, you'll notice a difference, especially if you're wearing a headset.

Yeah, I think it's a good perk since I tend to rush a lot when using SMGs. Might just use my next perma unlock on it even. :D I do hate how my footsteps muffle the sound of the other things around me though.

Range

It was like a 40% range decrease, and now it is only 26%, something like that.

My weapons are Kuda, Pharo, and Razorback

use them all with suppresor

You rock it with whatever gun, jorge. :)

Anyone who can help? I've noticed this little stun something thing that happens to me which I have no clue what. At first I thought it was Heatwave from the Firebreak class, but I tend to see it with Outrider. It's not concussion, flash or even a shock charge, but it feels like a sudden stun/flash that's really annoying. What the hell is it?? I want to share the clip I saved of it but it's too long. :(

I've gotten some really bad teammates now to the point that I just quit even before I reach the halfway point. I rush, get a triple/quad kill and no one gets to B. I die, check them out and all are camping in that house in Fringe.

Right. Here's a vid of it. Is this a flashbang? https://youtu.be/5l940rRlRAE

The argus can be pretty OP, but only if you are competent with it. Bad players wont get much kills with it, its kinda hard to master.

The Argus = KSG from BO2.

Fantastic weapon if you know how to use it.

Try out the Breci. That thing is ridicilous with Long-Barrel, Extended Mags. And I mean M1887 ridicilous.

Bruhhhh ... you are telling me the Breci is supposed to kill from, like, Sniper-Range?

The Brecci is good where it is right now. It's not overpowered, it's not underpowered. It's impossible to get a one-hit kill with and, as with all shotguns, suffers from pellets that vanish into thin air past a certain range, but it has decent range (for a shotgun), speed, and clip capacity, and kills in two hits much of the time. It's a solid set of trade offs. Most SMGs and Assault Rifles can still beat it in TTK though, even in close-quarters.

I wouldn't call it overpowered. It's a well balanced risk/reward weapon, requiring skill, but outputting something worthwhile (OHK's at a decent range). In any case, I almost never see Argus users, and when I do, they aren't exactly dominating with the thing (although I did run one of my best games early on using it).

That assumes a player has full health.

In the grand scheme of things you won't only encounter players at full health. They'll have some damage, especially on smaller maps with a lot of rushers - where you'd typically use your shotgun, and you also have encounters where you are not the only one firing at an enemy, a team mate may also join in the fight etc.

So under those scenarios it actually does tip certain things to be one less bullet to kill.

It might weaken your motivation to use it, because it isn't giving you that advantage 100% of the time, but it is still an advantage.

you must play with teammates who actually flank and do some damage to enemies. ;p i play with scrubs who are literally the worst cod players on the planet. i very rarely get 1 hit kills with Haymaker even on combine and fringe.

I dont know. There seems to be more of a divide here on Laser Sight than there is on Drft0r's youtube. All i can say is that I am playing much better without the laser sight and now that I think about it, my first few games with it before i unlocked the Laser Sight were my best as well. I get more headshots without the laser sight as well. The extra pallet damage is just 1. 1 damage. That is only going to come into effect at VERY long ranges when it might take you more than three shots to kill.

At the end of the day, you will always need three hit markers at close to mid range. So why both limiting your spread?

P.S I have spent the past week or so on the headshot challenges for the BRM and Haymaker. I have over 1000 kills with both and just hit 80 headshots. This is so ridiculous lol. High Caliber should've been there for all weapon classes. The funny thing is that I have 8 headshots with the Brecci already with only 45 kills. So if i keep up this pace i should have the challenge done in 500 kills. What an amazing shotgun. TBH, Haymaker isnt bad at all. It's just bad with the laser sight.

So what's the best SMG then? I'm level 25 and was recommend to the Vesper but could not get on with it so I've gone back the old trusty Kuda+silencer.

Razorback and Pharo are pretty good, Pharo takes a bit to master how to manage the burst fire and the Razorback is more for long range (But can still hold it's own on short range maps if you get the drop on somebody)

I like the Argus for being risk vs reward. The OHK pump shotgun is great too, absolutely love the reload animation on that gun.

I am actually running the pump because it's much easier to get the kill than the riskier Argus.

Also, is it just me, or are the snipers really easy to use? I was getting some consistent kills with it, and I can't figure out if I was just aiming well or if the aim assist was heavier on it.

Depends on what your playstyle is. If you want to get up close and whatnot, maybe try the VMP or Kuda? If you want mid to long encounters with SMGs, then Razorback. Personally, I prefer the Razorback since it's super easy to control (no grip needed), and it's good enough to go toe-to-toe with assault rifles in mid range.

Also, anyone know what this stun effect is? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5l940rRlRAE&feature=youtu.be Is this a flashbang? Had it happen again and just curious. It has that whooshing sound and whatnot even.

That's the fire guy's special ability

There is no best, but I've done best with the VMP and Vesper. VMP was my first gold.
Yeah VMP was my first gold too. Even after the nerf, it kills extremely fast and is very easy to use. It has a very high aim assist imo so much so that the gun almost follows the crosshairs.

Vesper is a super hard gun to use. I had to get five attachments on it to make it good. Extended mags and long barrel are a must with it.

Pharro melts people at pretty much every range except for long ranges. It's my favorite gun in the game.

Kuda and Razorback need rapid fire to be great. Weivel is the worst but it's got great range and rate of fire.

Pretty much every SMG in this game is great. Same as shotguns. You just need to be able to change your playstyle. Getting one shot kills with the argus is fantastic, but prepare to lose the fight if you miss.

just tried zombie mode for the first time in a COD title. i dont know if its specific to black ops 3, but its some of the worst game design ive ever seen, pretty much everything about it is awful.

Which map, Shadows of Evil or The Giant? If it's SoE, yeah it sucks. Way too bloated ane focused on story when it should be about survival.

shadows of evil. its not just the map that is awful. the guns have an effective range of about 5 meters, the amt of aim sway is absurd, zombies magically spawn right behind you out of thin air, its a grind fest, and since only stereo sound works you cant hear shit behind you

After playing Exo Zombies in Advanced Warfare a ton, I certainly prefer it to Treyarch's efforts.

Map is pretty damn good and relatively simple to go about once you know a few things. Zombies will respawn near you if you teleport, or run wayyyy far ahead of them. It's like that because you're already faster than any zombie and stamina up makes you even faster. If you're complaining about range then use a sniper(drakon is one of the best guns in zombies) or lmg

Hope they don't remove g sliding that is wayyyy too fun of a feature

Shadow of Evil is the essential anti "herd" map in the sense that they built it so zombies wouldn't exactly be easily wrapped around. The windows you would expect them to appear from they never do and instead they end up crawling in from a random spot. There is a sense of unpredictability when you are focusing on everything else.

I still like Giant but im not rushing to get the SP for it. It's pretty much the same map I've played and "figured out" for years

I'm just starting to get the hang of G-sliding too.

I wish we on the Xbone were as lucky as you guys to have Exodus removed from the rotation, that map is trash.
