Awesome news about the shotties, good thing I'm home sick from work so I can grind my SPAS and get to try it out...but wait, the SPAS doesn't need it. Oh man, I'm going to have to spend the day with the KSG12. :(

Created a kit with Overkill with a P90 and AA-12 yesterday, and it does better for me than I ever thought it would! I thought both were useless and as a primary, the AA-12 is obviously completely useless and retarded (what's with the ammo count?) but as a secondary it's pretty sweet. Good kit for Dome anyway.

There's a TDM KD? I thought KD was just across all modes.
There are game mode leaderboards. I'm #41 in Demolition, yeah! (But like #billion in TDM, haha.)

Speaking of ranks and leaderboards, I've seen some people lament the lack of SPM (and I agree) but someone showed me that there actually is SPM on Elite at least! You just have to click the "compare" button on someone's profile to see it. Pretty sweet, but I don't really get why they don't just show it in the stats box...

Did you have MG36 with a Grip by any chance? It's glitched in that MG36 + Grip has lower ROF than MG36 without Grip, lol.

Really want to try L86 w/ Grip+Thermal for the laser accuracy before it gets patched.

I used to get annoyed by COD until I decided to just not give a fuck and rambo around in kill confirmed, that's all I play.

Battlefield still makes me mad though

Holy shit! SPAS + extended + damage is the best thing ever. It is basically the MW2 SPAS!

So, how are the changes to the FMG9 and the Type 95? Still haven't had time to try it out.
I was pushed a playlist update and have noticed absolutely zero change to either. People are still running around and maining FMG9's.

They need to do the following to fix them (although the striker needs a slight closerange buff as well as a long range nerf):

- Make The Spas-12, 1887, and KSG all do 40 damage per pellet at close range (there is no reason the shotguns should do LESS damage per pellet than they did in previous call of duties)
- Make the USAS, Striker, and Masterkey deal 30 damage per pellet at close range
- Make the AA-12 deal 20 damage at close range (it does a measily 15 right now)
- Reduce the Striker's ranged damage to 5 instead of 15. It'll still be easy to get kills with it thanks to it's tight spread and spamability.
- Make the USAS fire faster. That way it would be better at long range while also giving.
- GIVE THE AA12 MORE AMMO. Why the fuck would anyone use a primary that requires scavenger in order to take out more than two enemies.
- Change the Specialist package so that you don't unlock all the proficiencies when you reach the specialist bonus. That way the shotguns won't be overpowered when you reach said bonus.

-Bring back Akimbo 1887 with day 1 range from MW2

It was MG36 with kick and silencer. I wanted the best accuracy I could get without sacrificing RoF (I didn't have holo, ACOG, or thermal for the gun yet) because the grip's slowed rate of fire is so bad that grip + rapid fire is slower than no attachments at all (either or the dumbest design ever).

As I mentioned before though, there are certain combo's that work very decently:
- M60 w/Grip + Rapid Fire. Does a lot of damage per second at short and medium range.
- PKP Pecheneg w/ Grip + Rapid Fire. The Pekeneg has the furthest 3HK range out of all the LMGs. With these attachments it becomes great at anything that isn't "you'll need a scope to see them" range
- PKP w/ Silencer. I don't remember what proficiency I was using (might have been kick), but the silencers don't reduce the range that much on LMGs and the PKP has such long range before drop-off already that with a sliencer it seems to be a 3HK at somewhere between medium and long range (AR range).
- LSW w/Thermal + Rapid Fire.
- LSW w/Thermal + Silencer.
- LSW w/Thermal + Extended mags
- LSW w/Thermal + HBS (I think you can see the pattern here)
- MK46 w/kick + Red Dot. I hate the sights on this gun so the Red Dot helps me best use it's high RoF.
- MK46 w/silencer + Kick/Grip. Same reason as Red Dot with the bonus of trading a little bit of range for some stealth that takes some distance until the dropoff
- MK46/LSW/PKP w/red dot and silencer. The recoil is a little high but it's very usable for non-sniper range.

so the type95 and akimbo fm9s didn't really get nerfed or were people just overestimating how much their k/d was going to improve after the change. hah
 
I haven't gone and tested it privately, but my USAS is not feeling the same. It feels a lot less inconsistent. If they really gave such a measly nerf to the 95 and FMGs but decided to remove something that helped make non-striker shotguns usable I am going to be pissed.

I doubt Robert Bowling Sledgehammer developers even play the game at all, but if he does they do I'm guessing he's each and every one of them is just another jackass with dual FMGs and the Type 95 who doesn't want to nerf their favorite gun.

I doubt Bowling has the final say in what gets patched and is the only one monitoring feedback. :p

Robert Bowling responded to someone on Twitter who said they have a good connection, always get host, and are always running behind. He said that's going to be fixed, so I guess we'll wait and see. It's been in these games since CoD4, but it's noticeably worse than before in MW3. If they can make it feel more like MW2, even, I'd be happy.

Edit: Robert Bowling tweeted that they got a fix for PS3 voice quality but its not going to make it out till January lol.

Do you guys run steady aim with it? At this point I far prefer both the spas and stakeout from black ops...I never thought that would be the case.

I thought the SPAS was awful when the game came out, but I decided to unlock everything for it now and found it pretty good even without proficiencies or attachments... But, man, it becomes ridiculous with damage and extended mags! I had a 117-47 game with it today, killing fools across half of Dome!

I wanted to put up some clips from it (like the 7 kills I get in 10 seconds by blindfiring through the dome wall, lol), but theatre mode keeps freezing on me when I try to edit. Anyone else had that?

But, man, it becomes ridiculous with damage and extended mags! I had a 117-47 game with it today, killing fools across half of Dome!

I wanted to put up some clips from it (like the 7 kills I get in 10 seconds by blindfiring through the dome wall, lol), but theatre mode keeps freezing on me when I try to edit. Anyone else had that?

I thought there was a video that Range was better than Damage, no?

I just had a 41-0 match. I always seem to do pretty well, KD-wise, on Fallen.
I had a 24-3 game on Underground HQ the other night with a PM-9 w/HAMR Scope. Pretty nice considering I don't run lethal Strike Packages often...well I was that game but my Stealth Bomber only got one kill.

I just had a 41-0 match. I always seem to do pretty well, KD-wise, on Fallen.

On day 2 of having the game I got a game of 42-6 with the USAS-12 w/Range Mags on Lockdown. And that was TDM, meaning I got more than half of team's kills. And for killstreak I got to my second AUAV, second Stealth Bomber, and second EMP.

As a result I decided that lockdown was definitely one of the better shotgun maps.

The test was flawed for many reasons.
1) It was done by having two guys stand still and have the shotgun centered perfectly.
2) It was only tested on the SPAS-12.
3) They didn't test how each proficiency fairs with and without extended mags.

For the 1887, you have really good range already and it fires slowly so damage is better for insuring you don't get fucked over by that close range hitmarker that the gun tends to get.

For the Striker damage is better because it increases the minimum damage per pellet to 21 (which is why the striker can feel overpowered with the damage and extended mags).

All the other shotguns tend to do better with range (although the SPAS-12 seems to have a similar situation to the 1887 where you aren't going to be screwed over by those close range hitmarkers if you use damage)

It's so dumb though because the only reason people even consider damage is because the guys who designed this game felt that every non-striker shotgun had to be nerfed so that they had less close range consistency than in CoD4 and Black Ops.

And I think I am going to take a break from this and play skyrim for a week or so because the patch that was supposed to nerf the akimbo FMG9s and Type 95 did absolutely nothing. Everyone has been telling the people in charge of multiplayer to increase the hipfire spread for dual machine pistols and decrease the damage and/or rate of fire for the Type 95.

I've gone from a 2.75 in Blops to a 1.8 in this.

Score per minute has dropped heaps also.

In TDM I've gone from 2.85 to 1.75, don't play much TD in this so far though.
