I have not played a Call of Duty game in a long time. I no longer have much time for multiplayer, but I do have fun in their campaign's. They are like dumb, popcorn movies to me.
Anyways, yesterday I go to install COD around 3:00 to have it ready by time I was done with work and doing errands. Ends up it looks like I had installed COD Modern Warfare 2 a while ago during a free weekend or something, but I never played it, but it was on my external drive. Cool, I thought, less time needed to download. I started to move that over to my harddrive and once done triggered the download for the new one on GamePass (I discovered the old one was on the harddrive due to originally trying to download it it said it needed to be moved or something like that). Anyways, moved over and told it to download all files. I just wanted it to download everything and then I could remove what I didn't need.
I got off work, ran some errands, did some yard work, and thought, cool I now can play some. Went upstairs to my media room, booted it up and then got a bunch of crappy videos/ads for stuff I do not care about. Then I got on the mess of an interface, thinking I was ready to go, and nope: I needed an update. WHY THE HELL DIDN'T THE UPDATE INSTALL WHEN I INSTALLED IT?
I waited around 30 minutes for the update to complete. I boot it back up, and now more annoying ads. I get to the interface, trying to find my way around this mess. WHY THE HELL DO I HAVE TO INSTALL IT THIS WAY? I just want the game. Anyways, I finally find the campaign, AND THE DAMN GAME SAID I NEEDED TO DOWNLOAD IT!!!!
I was pissed.
I triggered the download, waited another 30 or so minutes, and relaunched. Once again, dumb annoying shit about a battlepass or whatever. I just want to get to the game dammit.
I finally get to play, played for around 45 minutes and realized what time it was. Had to stop so I can go to bed for work today.
Such a bullshit experience.
