Uh so I made like 3 different batches of pre-order, before the whole botched 20% off thing. I was planning on cancelling them and putting all my pre orders in one order, but now I'm afraid to? Should I just contact a CSR and see if I can get them to put it all in one order? Should I just leave it alone and hope nothing goes wrong in the future? I still want to preorder GOW4, Horizon Zero Dawn and FFXII Remastered, but FFXII is 69.99 so its messing up the discount.

Recore was listed as $49.99 for a little bit after the Microsoft briefing, that's why some are getting the e-mail about the changing price. So now we get an even better deal!

Edit: Wait. It's still $49.99. So we're getting a random $10 price drop?

Yeah. It shows as $39.99 on my order now. But I swear I had that for a few days.

Final Fantasy XV - Wasn't going too but may cancel this. I'll think it over.

South Park: Fractured But Whole - Getting Stick of Truth free with it kind of won me over lol
Final Fantasy XII - May cancel this due to price, but I'll think it over.
Mass Effect: Andromeda
Kingdom Hearts 2.8 - May cancel this due to price, but I'll think it over.
DaysGone - May cancel this but waiting on more information

Pokemon Sun
Pokemon Moon - Will cancel one of these when I know which version I prefer pokemon-wise. Also hoping it drops $10 or so.

Is it "okay" to preorder now, or should I preorder later tonight?

Dragon Quest VIII 3DS (20% off)
Final Fantasy XV PS4 ($30 off)

Hoping Titanfall 2 gets the $30 discount from the Wal-Mart price match and I really, really hope that Amazon will start including the PC versions of some games but that seems very unlikely as Wal-Mart isn't even listing/selling those. If not, I'll be adding it anyways along with Horizon: Zero Dawn.

I preordered my games, I did FFXII separate since that game doesn't discount correctly.

I did one batch with higher shipping since I want those day one
I did another with free
I did each 49.96(3 of them) separately
I did one with FFXII which is currently discounted wrong.

a CSR helped along the way.

1) I've decided to go with Best Buy. I did the math and apparently you get 31.25% extra rewards money for every purchase.

2) Does bestbuy.ca price match? I.E. for the Titanfall 2 Walmart price? Or for amazon's Sea Of Thieves price?

3) What happens if bestbuy.ca increases the price of a game? Do I still get the original price I preordered at? I know I do at Amazon, just not sure if bestbuy.ca is the same.

4) Is bestbuy.ca down right now?

1) That's not a question! But more seriously, you get 31.25% of your purchase back in credit, but you have to spend it on something else. In other words, you're getting (at best) $25 on a $79.99 game that you then have to use on something else that costs $25 or more. So you're getting $25 off $105, or roughly 24% off. Plus all the other limitations on Reward Zone certificates that don't apply to a straight discount.

2) They do. In past years, the 30%/20% discount would be counted against the MSRP when price matching, which made the price match policy mostly moot, but this year it doesn't matter since there's no direct discount.

3) Best Buy says you get the lowest price automatically.

4) I think so!

All one list or should I break it up into multiple depending on if I'm sure I'm keeping or potential cancels?

Should I do the FF12HD in it's own order thing too?

Anyone who had it ordered from last year is going to see big savings. I think I cancelled that one.

Im doing everything in its own individual order (ie multiples). That way i can be sure of the discount applied correctly in each, easier to track in my emails, and its also easier to see the price drop pre order guarantee applied.

You must have access to my account ;) I have 9 preorders, with 1 game in each order, discounts applied perfectly fine ($16 off $80 game), free shipping option.

I also prefer this multiples option because i have had two orders in the past couple of years where a single game in the big order gets "stuck" and doesnt ship - had to contact CSR to get it "un-stuck", which is a pain for free shipping because they make you wait for the delivery estimate date to lapse before taking action.

Nothing in particular, they just happen to have 25% vouchers fairly often. $72.31 all-in for a PC game from Amazon doesn't beat $44.99 USD + no tax unless the Canadian dollar drops below, say, 65 cents. Plus, I don't have to wait a week for the game to arrive.

EDIT: Shot 'em an email, If I can get the extra $7 like I should off I'll probably keep it. Hopefully having 9 orders doesnt get me in trouble. LOL

Hm, much prefer this method.

My last amazon multi order just said the retail price. No mention of discounts. Not sure if it's just different now but at least now I know the final price of all the games just by looking.

9 preorders kind of sucks.

I decided to only use Best Buy and to only pre-order Watch Dogs 2, Sea of Thieves, Mafia 3, Gears of War 4, South Park. $360 + tax. That'll give me $112.50 in rewards points back. I can turn that into free currency cards for indie games.
