Almost pulled the trigger on this, but the games I'd buy are stuff like Remember Me, Fuse, Resident Evil Revelations, Dead Island Riptide, etc. Stuff that will be much cheaper in the very near future.

I'm tempted to do this for a few Nintendo titles like Luigi's Mansion 2, and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon though. Nintendo takes forever to price drop their stuff.

hey guys, this isn't really gaming related, but i'm planning on finally moving out of my parents place in the coming months and i need some help.

i am in need of a surround sound system and a new tv. i currently have a shitty tv, so i can wait until boxing day if i need to. is there a point to buying either of these items before boxing day? are the deals really that amazing? i'm looking to spend about 1200 max on a tv and about the same on a surround sound system.

not the greatest deal in the world, but if you want a PS3 on short notice, Best Buy will be selling the Uncharted 3 bundle for $40 off tomorrow, in-stores only.

might be better to wait for E3 though, there's always the chance of a price drop.

I've only played through the tutorial and some of the first stage, but it's sort of entertaining. The really sluggish frame rate gives me a headache though and the camera panning via touch screen is not as some as a game like Monhan. Not sure I'd be as optimistic with it if I had paid money for it, but for free, it's fun to play some of these B level games.

Actually, they deactivated them for the steelbook promo, then reactivated them again afterwards. Currently they're doing yet another steelbook thing, so again it's been deactivated. I still have my code, not gonna use it (already have a $40 pre-order from last year), so if anyone wants it, you can have it. No guarantees it'll work, but you can try it this weekend, after the steelbook days ends.

Heard there were lots of frame issues in the retail reviews, guess it didn't get fixed. Think the Wii original was a locked 60fps? Never played it though.

The dev (Scientifically Proven) should make a Wii U version on eShop to prepare for the sequel they're making for it, the original on Wii got really good reviews.

I signed up at "Free full-priced game of your choice for everyone who signs up!" Then they said that they didn't actually have enough free game coupons to give one to everybody, and increased the amount of hassle required to get a coupon.

Not game related and too late in the day for anyone to grab lunch there (still time for dinner!), but Extreme Pita has all their pitas half off today only.

I've never eaten there before and probably never will again unless they have another sale but for $4.50 for their most expensive pita I can't complain. It was pretty good, I just wouldn't pay $9 for it.

Good info but not entirely an option because I'm moving from Ontario to Alberta so 1. I need all the space I can keep available in my car and 2. there's an 8% difference in sales tax. Plus I've already played U3.

I'm looking in particular at the classic white bundle with 500 GB and 12mo PS+. I think that package has pretty good value. Amazon.ca had it for 279.99 yesterday with free shipping but literally raised the price today. I'm just gonna send them an email and see if they will honor the price that was listed when I added it to my cart since I didn't get a notification that usually comes with price increases.

So I've been doing some snooping around and I can give some more info on the phone contact stuff.

As it currently stands the December time frame is looking like a lock for implementation of the new crtc rules, so come this Christmad you will be subjected to whatever the new rules are. I know that all companies work on a device credit structure in regards to any cancellation fees so the heaviest lifting is mostly done from a systems standpoint.

HOWEVER, according to my sources the 2 year vs 3 year stuff isn't actually set in stone yet. It could actually still be the case that after 2 years you would be required to pay off what is left of your device credit based on a 3 year term. Its a bit of a moot point if everyone switches to 2 year structures, but the original "2 and done" sentiment may not be as clear cut as it originally sounded. As always if anything comes up I'll keep you guys posted, but legal teams at every provider are pouring over every detail so the final word isn't out yet...

I jumped on the trade-in a game for 40$ gift card and 170$ PS3 back in January so it cost me 130$, and got 20$ off via Tsilon on the Last of Us (I mostly got it for that game and Journey but have played other games now that I have one too). Samsung galaxy discover us 80 prepaid but you would have to unlock it for 20-30. Same goes for the htc wildfire S at 50 plus unlock fee.

I think you would be safe, but it seems that the $10 thing will only apply to in-store pre-orders. It's probably just like the other times, a $10 coupon on your receipt for a game purchase of $19.99+.

I had a lot of fun with it. Took me upwards of 20 hours to get/find everything, plus the multiplayer is surprisingly addictive.

So tempted by that $30 Fire Emblem.. So much pressure from 3DS-GAF D;

Also I'm guessing no decent E3 deals have popped up huh. Tsilon's unusually silent and FS/GS are too.. Was hoping I'd be able to snag some $20 upcoming 3DS games like Pokemon.
