Question about Destiny 2 (French) :

Is it only the packaging that is in french? I have friends who play loot games in french and it's pretty hard to communicate with each other sometimes.

"Lame-tonnerre, épée bénie du Cherchevent" anyone?

Just a heads up from the previous page that Nioh for $39 at Bestbuy is only today and doesn't appear to be price matched. Only five remaining in online stock but local stores will probably have stock.

I think it's only the packaging, the game should set to the console's language. The 1st one was like that if I'm not mistaken.

Snagged Nioh just in case from Best Buy. I know it's going to be part of the PSN sale but if it's more expensive (or I can't spend $100 to get the $15 back) I'll keep the physical, if not I'll return it.

Thanks for the heads up... wanted to try this for a while now.

So to clarify you can't stack prime 20% off on a 49.96 title. It would do 79.99 instead?

It works this way:

Full price (say, 79.99) - 20% = 63.99

Here's some examples of what happens if non-prime discounts happen:

Price drops to 49.96? That's lower than 63.99, so you pay 49.96.

Price drops to 65.99? 63.99 is lower, so you pay that.

But if MSRP officially drops to 49.99, for example, the Prime discount will be adjusted and will be 49.99-20%. Prime discount is always off MSRP. Additional discounts are separate, and eat away at the Prime discount so it can never go lower than 20% off MSRP, unless the non-prime discount is more than the prime discount.

We should probably put this in the OP so nobody will read it.

Also am I crazy or does it seem like Amazon isn't doing their own E3 deal this year? Looks like they're just doing the regular Prime discount. They would have started by now wouldn't they?

Honestly, I think I'm just gonna cancel my Prime membership and rely on Walmart. If games come back in stock at Walmart, I'll get them from there instead. I'd rather support them doing this deal in the first place than supporting Amazon for matching it (and not even across the board)

Nah, they might only start monday. E3 officially only starts Tuesday anyway.

That BestBuy FAQ is actually pretty detailed and answers questions you'd think they wouldn't really answer, like "this pre-order game sold out, can I still get it" or "how do I change my payment info after the fact." (Spoiler: yes, you have to call in to do the latter. Ugh.) It also confirms that you get 20% off the lower price if the game gets cheaper before release. Don't know if this just means MSRP price drops or if it includes price matching sale prices as well.

Also, unrelated deal (quote to see).

Regarding your unrelated deal, I made an order using it just to see. I'd be BLOWN AWAY if they don't cancel it though. It's clearly a glitch they didn't see coming.

So Best Buy's e3 deals are just the regular 20% off that we get on Amazon anyway?

You need Prime for that on Amazon, they definitely have the worst E3 deals this year.

Also worth noting that I preordered everything on Amazon last year, and had nothing but problems all year. Shipping issues on pretty much all games, but worse was being charged the wrong price for literally MOST games I ordered.

Until a number of people complain that all this E3 talk is running up the post count, and needs a separate thread.

Yeah, it's the weirdest thing. It's literally deals discussion in the deals thread and there really aren't any other deals happening right now besides E3 deals. I have never seen the need for a new thread.

Hmm. That's crazy. I doubt it will stick.

We'll see! I'm worried about this too, obviously, that's why it's in a quote. Good luck and godspeed to all those who try.

Yeah, it's the weirdest thing. It's literally deals discussion in the deals thread and there really aren't any other deals happening right now besides E3 deals. I have never seen the need for a new thread.

One reason to do a new thread would be to have an OP that summarizes the existing promotions, to cut down on the people coming into the thread for the first time and being all "wait so what's the Walmart deal again how do I get one of those Best Buy codes?" Dunno if that's enough of a reason on its own to warrant a new thread, though, especially since there will absolutely be E3-related discussion in both threads unless we pull a Steam community thread and literally close this thread down while E3 is on, and then open it back up afterwards.

How do you get the first code?

You should've already gotten one in your email, I think. At least, I did, and other people in this thread reported getting one too.

Is the Best Buy website glitching out for anyone? Everytime I add a game to my cart, it shows me an error code above my cart and discounts the game I just added to be free. Not gonna bother trying to see if that sticks, lol.

Edit: Maybe I have too many games in one order? Only happening for games I add after the first 12.

Doesn't the deal only allow 8 games per order?

From your post last year.

Would be in 60-90 minutes if they announce at the same time as last year.

Hard to keep up with all the posts!

So asides from the unrelated deal, best deals right now are with Amazon with prime and Wal-Mart without prime?
