Looks promising. Any comparison for before 2006?

Nanos final poll 2004

Liberal: 34% (actual: 36%)
Conservative: 30% (actual: 30%)
NDP: 20% (actual: 15%)
BQ: 12% (Actual: 12%)
Green: 6% (Actual: 4%)

IPSOS final poll 2000 (since nanos didn't exist i think)
Liberal: 39% (actual: 40.8%)
Alliance: 27% (actual: 25.5%)
BQ: 10% (actual: 10.7%)
NDP: 10% (actual: 8.5%)
Conservatives: 12% (actual: 12.2%)

5 months ago, Labour Party was favoured to win by most polls. Tories ended up crushing them on Election Day and won a majority of seats.

It's not over yet. Polling is not an exact science.

Yeah i put zero faith in polls. Hell that one for BC a few years back was the same and Christy Clark flew to victory.

I don't like the Hunt for Red October since I'd never heard of that movie until now. I prefer something a little more....accessible. :p
Canada Poligaf - A New King of the North
If it's a Liberal majority, I like this one.
I really wish we could vote online. I have a new born to take care off and can't leave the house...
A newborn is more important than your country? Deport for treason.

I agree. The polling stations are so out of date. They don't even have computers there. Hopefully the Liberals can bring this country to 2015.

A month ago, the NDP was favoured to win so I'm not sure why that matters. The Tory/Labour fight was pretty close to the end. There wasn't a 7-9% gap in the popular vote the night before.
Especially with cheaters.
Good point. Keep your eyes open everyone.

I wonder if they brought out Myers just to make a "Harper doesn't care about black people" joke. Oliver endorsed the ABC initiative too, incidentally. lol

...The fuck you on about? Literally never heard the name, Walpurgis? I grew up in the shittiest part of Winnipeg and I definitely have heard the name.

EDIT: Though I've been meaning to watch it for years and never have. Shame on me.

Crimson Tide is a different film altogether. The adaptation of The Hunt For Red October is also called The Hunt for Red October.

I meant that Red October submarine film jumped to my mind because the earlier poster posted "Red Tide" which I thought was a submarine film, but that film is actually titled "Crimson Tide".

I just finished watching tonight's Last Week Tonight.

The stuff John Oliver dug up on each candidate was hilarious, but I would've liked to see more points about each party and leader. The niqab and Bill C-51 were good stuff to bring up.

Wow, the election made John Oliver. lol

Just saw it, it was actually a pretty good segment; if only light on the Steven Harper details... I was almost certain he would have talked about muzzled scientists or C51 or even the Citizenship changes, though those never really came up.

Which ministers are in danger of losing their seat aside from Oliver and Alexander? Valcourt I guess. Aglukkaq?
Too bad Poilievre and Blainey are safe.

There really is so much damage that harper has caused that it's hard to cover it all.

It would have been funnier if he pulled out a $50 bill (USD) and said here's your $5000 Canada. What a stupid law. Was that a part of the Unfair Elections Act or was it there before?

Good video. The ending was pretty funny.

John went in on Harper. Well done.

I've never seen that Netflix thing, he looks and sounds even more like a robot than usual. And I find it hilarious how Harper allegedly likes Breaking Bad...I guess he considers anyone who smokes weed to be Jesse Pinkman or Walter White.

So as a US citizen, which party is CanadaGAF hoping wins?
My scenarios ranked:

NDP Minority
Liberal Minority
NDP Majority
Liberal Majority
Conservative Minority
Conservative Majority

I should get my 2nd or 4th choice at least? I really do believe that the NDP and Liberals working together to pass legislation gets us what the majority of Canadians want.

The video didn't even show the best part. He said that the NDP and Liberals were going to introduce a Netflix tax, and that the only way to prevent this was to vote for Stephen Harper. I don't know how he thought that up because it's not even remotely true.

I agree. Minority governments are always best because it gets parties to work together. PR makes it so that we get this 100% of the time.

Gonna get out of work early to go vote guys, remember to pester your friends!!

Fortunately no one seems to be talking about my riding as being a "riding to watch" so it seems like the Liberals have a big lead but still going to drag as many of friends to the polls as possible. Fuck Bob Dechert.

I would say that the 2011 election where the NDP became the Official Opposition was the left's biggest win recently. Other than that, the Liberals have almost always won. These past 10 years or so have been an anomaly. I don't know how many times the Liberals have won by campaigning on the left like they are now though.
