Came to say exactly the same thing. Richter almost comes across as a side character. Him saying, "I kill FUCKING vampires!" is too much to bear. That's some Saints Row reboot writing.

Richter looks cool and they used a relevant track from the games, so that's already a big plus.

I won't judge any of the other characters right now, but I think they have a lot of room to experiment and expand, since the source material (Rondo of Blood) isn't heavily story-focused.
