Yep. Anyone that did not see this coming honestly has not been paying attention. I am curious to see how long it takes for political fallout from this.
24m uninsured by 2026, but everyone will have access to it.
Any news on cost? It feels more expensive, so I'm curious about the budget impact.

Despite what you hear in the press, healthcare is coming along great. We are talking to many groups and it will end in a beautiful picture!
Seems like they need to go back to the drawing board in another mysterious room in the Capitol and have the Democrats go on another scavenger hunt to track it down. That was a fun time had by all, was it not?Gee, who would have thought that shitting out a health care plan in a week wouldn't work???
That he doesn't give a fuckRyan must have known this right? And he still went through with it. What is he thinking?

Yeah, this shit's not passing.

I don't think so?
It does say this:
24 million people will have ACCESS to healthcarethey just can't afford it.
They're not taking away health care, they're giving people the freedom to not waste their hard-earned money on health insurance. How do these people take away healthcare for 24 million people and won't get lynched for it.
Even suggesting this would kill your career from where i'm from
But at least those uninsured people will have freedom.
24 million more iphones sold? time to buy apple stock

$300bn savings. it's in the first two pages of the report.

They are going to tout the line after that which claims after 2019 Premiums would then go down lower than ACA premiums. They will argue temporary pain for long term gain. Though I do not see how CBO can actually suggest premiums will decline
I'm sure the Freedom Caucus loves this plan, since it makes poor people suffer and offers minimal savings.
That everyone (R) will fall in line, and they can continue to blame Obama well into 2020 regardless of how this pans out.
It saves 300 billion over 10 years. Which lets be real. Isn't shit. Especially with so many people losing coverage.
He wasn't. Ryan is not a smart person, he just gives of the appearance that he knows what he's talking about.Ryan must have known this right? And he still went through with it. What is he thinking?
Actually they are getting the tax credits savings also. If 14 million people drop out of the individual health market that is basically a shit ton of people that won't use tax credits. The replacement credits are not near as generous especially for the poor.Keep in mind that's basically from gutting Medicaid pretty hard after 2020 to pay for tax cuts for the rich.

but it'll cut the deficit, and that's what really matters

The initial shock to the healthcare industry and subsequent collapse would be far more damaging than the savings.
Anyone who supports this in congress is going to be in a battle in 2018.
CBO and JCT estimate that enacting the legislation would reduce federal deficits by $337 billion over the 2017-2026 period. That total consists of $323 billion in on-budget savings and $13 billion in off-budget savings. Outlays would be reduced by $1.2 trillion over the period, and revenues would be reduced by $0.9 trillion.
The Freedom Caucus is on record as hating it because, I shit you not, it's too good of a plan for poor people.
Don't worry, the tax savings will be annihilated by the huge tax breaks coming up. The government will end up owing more.-So, this 'savings' will go to support SS and Medicare long-term, right?
-Right?
