I hope they just say screw it and allow the TV universe(s) to reference stuff like Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.
Don't need direct appearances but since they say over and over again the universes are separate what does it matter?
I better see Man of Steel levels of destruction and badassery in the fight scenes
Also, if Superman indeed exists in this universe yet can never actually appear, how is his absence going to be explained?

not that I don't trust Berlanti, but I have more faith in Gotham being good than I do in this

I hope they nail the costume.
This one was pretty good:

So something similarly "regal" like that would be great.
As much I love girls in skirts... no skirts.
The best Batgirl (Cassandra Cain) after she dropped "Batgirl" and became "Black Bat".Who is that?

ಠ_ಠSuperman won't exist and Supergirl will be the only hero.
And then introduce Batgirl and Wonder Woman.
And then Power Girl
And then move this show to Cinemax.
Ooh, that's nice. Except that exposed lower back is perplexing.time to post our favourite costumes for them to hopefully base it on

Jeez...there seems to be barely any networks left that don't have some DC aaptation in the making. Awesome.
Is that a crotch plate?Just give the new 52 suit those long pants you people like so much.

Why CBS, why not on The CW to go with Arrow and The Flash?
"I met a billionaire with high-tech toys, and a wondrous woman who's gonna throw you for a loop." - actual dialogue from the final season of Smallville
Because CBS picked it up with no pilot needed for a full season.
If a network wants to pay you, let them pay you.
Supergirl might spawn a spinoff on CBS too, like Power Girl: Miami

I know, but The CW belongs in a way to CBS, so why not let The CW have Supergirl to make a bigger DC universe.Because CBS picked it up with no pilot needed for a full season.

I know people are fiending for that shared universe, but I think a larger network like CBS is the right call for Supergirl.
There's the Superman IP, which is proven on television (Lois and Clark was incredibly popular in its day, and Smallville is the long running NA sci-fi series), and is going to be in the forefront of people's minds thanks to the films.
It's a female-led show in a time when studio execs are, slowly but surely, getting their heads out of their asses and realizing that catering to women by creating stories about women can equal money in your pocket.
It's a "geek" genre show, which can catch on and build a loyal and frevernant viewer very quickly and hopefully turn into big cultural phenomenons (see: Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead).
Finally, basic math. Bigger network = bigger potential audience.

Well, it's still not guaranteed to air. Hieroglyph and Emerald City had straight-to-series orders, too.
The hope could be sort of a Hannibal/NBC thing. It absolutely shouldn't work, and it doesn't make sense, but there it is kinda deal?
(It probably won't be that, but hey)
Also, it seems a little cart-before-the-horse to worry about whether or not the shows will be connected when we dont' even know if the show is good yet. Shows should be allowed to establish themselves before we hurriedly start cramming them into each others universes like superhero turducken.
Just because publishing does it one way doesn't mean live-action has to do it the exact same way.
You can forget any costume without a cape.
Edit: Reading around for the reaction online and nerds never let shit go. People getting huffy at CBS for cancelling the old Flash show. lol
NBC has had good programs. Has WGN?
HIEROGLYPH, WHY
