This is why i'm not really into this PvP mode. There is no skill involved, the only thing that you have to do is get lucky with mana and instakill the majority of your opponent's team before they can do the same to you.
There is no way to tell if you're going to survive their skills and there is also no way to dodge them. It's pretty annoying to see someone with a dash or ranged skill oneshot one of your main characters. The only way to dodge them that comes to mind is abusing the invulnerability frames when you cast your own skills wich makes this whole mode even more RNG dependent.
And then i haven't even talked about my encounters with Cheery where the only strategy seems to be to put two of your good units in the sub-party allowing them to swoop in and clean everything up after Cheery oneshots your main party.
Exactly how I feel. Also, the enemy team doesn't seem to be constrained by mana. It's kind of silly you can do maybe 1-2 abilities, depending on mana, and the enemy team can do 5. There was a time I was trying my damnest to kill a single unit which just kept spamming an aoe ability and did insane damage to my team.
I might give it a shot later on, if I build anything else besides a soldier team - but with a melee team, you might as well forget this mode.
