:) We still get TV Guide, I wouldn't mind seeing some Chuck action on it.

Anyone compiling a list of this season's music?

NBC To Rerun Chuck vs. Santa Claus December 20

Mark your calendars: NBC will air the Chuck Christmas episode, season 2′s “Chuck vs. Santa Claus“, on Monday, December 20 at 10/9c following The Sing-Off.
Cool. Guess we can do a rewatch that night.

ChuckTV.net has a listing of it here. I'm also working on getting something out to you folks via PM today if I have time, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

I am both bummed and excited about the cover. I love both shows, but wanted Chuck to get the exposure since it is more on the bubble than Supernatural.

I still think the best alternative would be two covers, but have the cast of one show in character of the other. In other words, get Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki as Nerd Herders.

You're a wonderful person. :D

We're done with new Chuck until January, right? Bummer.

- Funny story linked over on ChuckTV.net:
FOR THIS MAN, BEING CALLED AWESOME IS NO JOKE

Eugene-Springfield, meet Captain Awesome.

Not that the former Douglas Allen Smith Jr. is a newcomer to Lane County.

He was born here in 1983. He graduated from Willamette High School in 2002.

But he officially became Captain Awesome only last month, when a Lane County Circuit Court judge approved his name change petition.

And his new first name is no title, he made clear in a recent interview.

“Hi! I’m Captain,” he said, making this story even more fun to write. Journalists refer to subjects by last name only on second and subsequent references. So, that’s Awesome!

Any reader who — like Awesome — watches the television show “Chuck” will not be surprised to know how he chose his new moniker. It was, indeed, inspired by a character on the NBC action/drama series: Dr. Devon “Captain Awesome” Woodcomb.

“I just thought it was really funny that Devon’s father always called him Captain Awesome because ‘a poor nickname builds good character,’?” said the local Awesome, an out-of-work cabinet installer.

Awesome said he had to jump through an extra hoop to legally change his name. Most such requests are approved in informal “ex-parte” hearings with Lane County judges. In Awesome’s case, however, the judge who considered his name change in that setting balked at granting it.

That judge — whose name Awesome cannot remember and who is not identified in Awesome’s court records — questioned his seriousness. The judge also advised him to hire an attorney to represent him in a formal oral argument for the change.

But Awesome decided to go it alone. He felt confident after researching name change precedents at the University of Oregon Law School library.

He hadn’t counted on Lane County Circuit Judge Douglas Mitchell hearing his case, however.

“The first thing he said to me was that he thought Douglas was a perfectly honorable first name,” said Awesome (nee Douglas Smith). “I thought, ‘Oh my goodness — I’m screwed.’?”

But Mitchell simply made him raise his right hand, swear that he wasn’t changing his name for fraudulent reasons, and proclaimed him Captain Awesome.

Mitchell also allowed Awesome to change his official signature to a right-pointing arrow, a smiley face and a left-pointing arrow. The state Department of Motor Vehicles actually accepted the cheerful new signature. But alas, his bank refused to honor it, Awesome said.

“They said it was too easily forgeable,” he explained.

Weird - ALL of S1, S2 and S3 work for me, as well as S4 Part 2, but S4 Part 1 isn't working. The link, that is.

I think Frightened Rabbit is probably the most awesome stuff Chuck introduced me too - <3 "The Twist" and "Keep Yourself Warm".

That, along with Bon Iver, and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes have been my favorite new musicians I found from Chuck.

Good picks! I also like the stuff from The Thermals that Chuck has used.

Chuck song: Glasvegas - Daddy's Gone

While I already listed me favorite music from Chuck, this is the best music usage in Chuck. Scene is incredible. Especially love the show where the elevator doors open behind Chuck, his father says "remember when I told you not to trust your handlers?", we see Sarah and Casey step out armed and ready to protect Chuck, and Papa B chimes back in with "maybe I was wrong". So great.

So yeah:

Best new music on Chuck - Frightened Rabbit
Best old music on Chuck - Huey Lewis and the News, baby!
Best music usage on Chuck - Glasvegas
Best Jeffster performance - Mr. Roboto

Backwards Walk and Keep Yourself Warm have become two of my favorite songs.

Chuck has GREAT music - thanks again to Cornballer for putting these soundtracks together!

Though, my absolute favorite piece of Chuck music is "Luisa's Bones" by Crooked Fingers in Chuck Vs. The Dream Job. That montage, where Chuck really figures out his life, stands up for himself, and gets dressed to take down Roark was just perfect.

The music worked amazingly with the scene.

The scene with The National's Fake Empire in season two was also incredible.

My brain no work right now, but Chuck introduced my wife to whatever it was that played in "Chuck vs. the Colonel" where Chuck and Sarah make out. I am tired and cannot think, but whenever she plays that song at home I refer to it as the "Chuck and Sarah almost fuck" song.

Now that I think about it, it is Bon Iver.

Creature Fear, yeah.

So glad that they used this. Streamed the album many times from NPR Music over the summer.

One of my best friend's favorite artists are Chromeo and Santigold. The show happened to feature both in the same episode. I can't convince her to watch the show now though cause the first episodes she watched were 301 and 302 :lol

I'm kind of surprised that the producers were able to afford Lady Gaga this season.

They should go back and use something from Set Yourself on Fire. Ton of perfect songs for Chuck on that album.

Last episode was pretty good though a bit weird. I didn't know Timothy Dalton was such a great actor (seen him in Hot Fuzz).

Oh and Linda Hamilton just isn't a good actress anymore. I think her acting abilities were terminated by James Cameron.

Also, thanks Cornballer.

Chuck introduced me too and I finally got to see them live last week, A-MAZING, best live band I've ever seen, and they were supported by Admiral Fallow who I now know are also awesome.

I think Gaga just wants to make her songs known, so they're cheap to license. Dollhouse season 2 could afford Gaga, and that had a lower budget than your typical reality show.

Surprised that this year's Comic-Con Jeffster song made it into the show but last year's didn't. We need some Queen on this show.

I think of all the music that Chuck introduced me to, I probably listen to The Thermals and Frightened Rabbit the most.

More PM's going out today. If you're feeling impatient, send me a message and I'll reply when I have a chance.

Well it's ChuckMeMondays on Twitter that posts a link to Chuckgasmic with teaser spoilers.
It's the same guy doing both of those, iirc. I follow him on Twitter for ratings news, but I don't read his blog posts.
Should I not believe it? That's where I got
Roan's
appearance on Chuck vs Seduction Impossible from.
I don't know. He's had some good stuff in the past (like the one you mentioned), but he's also done things like posting five rumors, only three of which are true. I don't read many spoilers beyond casting stuff, so I haven't been keeping tabs on his site. Some of his info is definitely true, but I don't know enough to guarantee that all of it is.

I just went over to Chuckgasmic for the first time since you mentioned it Cornballer. WTF is going on in that site? I can barely tell what is going on there.

BTW, thanks for the soundtrack link.
