Lay off the personal attacks and heavy handed "homophobia" insinuations.
Hate the whole gay teen bs but other than that I was pleasantly surprised, the shows seems good.

I'm glad you are not letting your hatred of gay characters interfere with your enjoyment of the show!

Nah I don't hate gays or gay characters, it's just that all recent shows must have minorities thrown on your face. It's so forced that it doesn't look like a normal thing anymore.

That's good. Yes, I have noticed that happens sometimes (Thirteen Reasons Why... is every character gay?) but Chucky doesn't seem to be that way.

So does this follow on from Curse and Cult? It always felt like that was supposed to be a trilogy considering how much of a cliffhanger Cult ended on.

Yes, but it starts where a doll or “Chucky” is in the hands of a kid who knows nothing about him. It definitely follows the plot after Cult from what I can tell.

Episode 4 was pretty good. The backstory to Charles Lee Ray got a bit cheesy at times.
I have to wonder if Chucky was at the garage sale on purpose because in the promo for Episode 5 they show Nica and Tiffany for a brief second. You would think the staff would see Chucky giving the kids the middle finger in the hospital at the end. Maybe they kill this Chucky in Episode 5

Jeniffer Tilly was spotted in episode 1 leaving the doll on the table.

The newest episode was frustrating. One of my biggest pet peeves with TV shows (and why I prefer films in general) is how they often just give up on continuity between episodes (they count on the audience being forgetful). For instance, the previous episode ended with Chucky and the blonde in the midst of an inferno, with Chucky seemingly about to kill the girl... but then the next episode starts with her supposedly fine in a hospital? And yet her sister is the one that is hospitalized, even though the blonde was the one in the smoke and fire-filled room, not her sister...

Hate to say it, but this show is losing me. At this point I think I'm only sticking around for the Chucky kills (which, admittedly, are still quite good) and the hope that characters from the movies show up (where the hell is Nica??).

I'm kinda starting to feel the same way you are. I knew Lexi wasn't gonna die because from what I've seen in previews and trailers for the show it gave off a vibe of them working together to take out Chucky. It's the same reason I knew Jake wasn't going to turn bad and kill, the previews spoiled that this show was going to become a stereotypical kids team up to kill the monster story, hopefully I'm still wrong on this.

On a side note I really don't care for any of the characters besides Chucky. The main character Jake always has this goofy/about to cry expression on his face that irks me. His boyfriend makes me cringe every time he comes on screen, just a charisma vacuum. At this point I just want Andy, Kyle, Tiffany, and Nica to show up already and save what's left.

Anyone else kinda bummed that Desilva from part 3 isn't included and is never really mentioned or shown? I always liked that character and hoped someday we would get more of her as well.

I didn't see any of the promotional material so I had no idea that the show was going down the Stranger Things route. That's kinda disappointing to hear, actually lol

Yes! The main actor's facial expressions aren't very... expressive. I can't tell if he's angry, if he's going to cry, or if he's about to sneeze. And yeah, I don't know why they're still trying to play coy with Jake and the black kid's relationship. It's so obvious where that is going.

Have to admit I completely forget about her because I only saw Child's Play 3 once lol. That said, I just came across this video where she expresses interest in being part of the series... but I'm going to assume she's not (yet, at least).

I thought the gay teen thing was well handled. If this had been made by Ryan Murphy, every other sentence would have been about cock and Jake would have probably sucked off Chucky by episode 2.

I'm yet to see the newest episode but liking what I've seen so far. My question is- where is Andy's mother? Was she confirmed dead in one of the other films? Why would she not come back? Or even the cop from the 1st film... They all know about Chucky and can verify everything that he does. Wonder if they will come back for this show.

I really liked this episode, never thought I'd check out Chucky's ass but damn!

The return of characters from the movies is great, does anyone know when Andy and Kyle will show up?

She was in a mental asylum IIRC. I think this was mentioned back in 2 or 3? Any thing she says would be looked at with suspicion.

I believe it was part 2 that it was mentioned. Still, she was a witness to it all, as was the cop.

I did forget about the cop. Who knows? We only learned after Cult of Chucky that the sister was actively helping Andy. They may be off helping in other ways that we haven‘t seen yet.

In fact at the end of the 1st film there was that other cop who didn't believe who was strangled by Chucky's hand. Surely one of these cops could spill the beans...? Either way i'm enjoying the show so far (only seen 3 episodes so far).

Newest episode was pretty great since it focused so little on the kids lol

I never would have guessed that Chucky had a Tommy Wiseau phase.

Also, I loved seeing Nica and Tiffany back in action. They delivered on exactly what I complained about last episode. More of them, less on the kids please...

Jennifer Tilly can sit on my face forever. And I would welcome it

I’m looking forward to tonight’s episode since it seems Andy and Kyle are finally about to show up. I liked seeing Nica and Tiffany in the last one. Fiona Dourif was actually playing the 80’s version of Charles Lee Ray and it was pretty creepy how much she looked like her dad. I liked it a lot. I wasn’t really sure about Jake and Devon’s relationship in this show, but even as a straight male it hit me in the feels when they finally got together. Well done, Don Mancini. Lexi is becoming a much better character after joining forces with Jake too, so that’s good. It sucks there’s only 3 episodes left, but I bet it ends in a big way. Love this show so much.

Episode 6 felt like it had some meat to it. Some parts have gotten a bit cheesy. Overall it’s been entertaining to see everything unfold.

Andy came back very strong. Wouldn’t people investigate Chucky’s corpse? They have proof that the doll is alive. I felt bad for the cousin’s mom considering she’s already in a dire situation already. Her death was a big eye roll just cause she didn’t deal with Chucky a whole lot before she died. The mom/officer falling down the steps wasn’t as impactful to me as the show wanted it to be for the viewer. On one hand we won’t have to deal with her investigating everything to an extreme. I want to see how this season ends. It’s been decent. Some parts haven’t made me want to rewatch it in the future, but that’s ok.

Sweet!!!
The season has concluded and the show has been renewed for another season!
Awesome ending.

Also, if anybody has Peacock, they have added all the episodes to it! I never signed up for Peacock (apparently you can watch the new South Park movie there too) because I already subscribe to too many streaming services.

Terrible show with terrible writing, acting, and kills. For a show about middle schoolers getting their parents killed there were no stakes at all. The kids were more concerned with being asked out by Steve or Phil than they were their dying loved ones.

Lexa - Goes from making fun of the main character relentlessly and jokes on him over his dad dying to "Jake we're a family now." in literally one episode.

Lexa's Mayor Mom - Relentlessly assured everyone her daughter was perfect and it was the whole world against her. Spoiled her daughter rotten. The very next episode we're lead to believe Lexa and her mom hate each other and always have.

Junior - Was so depressed over his mom killing herself he listens to a sentient doll and beats his dad to death with it.

There was way more hacky writing I can't remember atm but this shit but it really shows how low the bar has gotten with television.

I watched the season finale and a couple things were good while a couple made no sense at all.
I still don’t understand how awareness isn’t spread about a doll with real body parts. Multiple Chucky dolls have been killed days before the events in the theater. Their bodies covered with blood and guts. Wouldn’t some news team or police force take the body of the doll for analysis? Jake choked one Chucky and his eyes fell to the floor. Tiffany the doll being there this whole time also makes no sense, unless she was just hiding this entire time. I feel like another episode could have helped the enjoyment of the show.

Anyone watching season 2? It's fucking hilarious! Nearly pissed myself when
buff
Chucky showed up!

I want to.. but its not available on Prime like the first one was. I would love to see it but I'm not paying for cable just for the one show.

I don’t know how this show got such good reviews on Rotten Tomatoes because it’s really terrible so far. I guess the whole gay thing really impressed those woke critics. That’s my only guess.

I have been watching this season and it has been amazing for me. It is Funny, interesting and never boring. The muscle Chucky is great XD

Just started back into this, and I mentioned it before but holy shit Marvel need to tap Bjorgvin Arnarson ASAP.

The resemblance is too uncanny.

Is anybody still watching this show? It has been consistently good... I loved the second season and the third seems even better. They finally put them all on Peacock with the episodes going on there a day after they're shown on USA.

This season is in the White House!

Good stuff, man. Good stuff.

I’ve watched the first two episodes of season 3, I like how they keep bringing Devon Sawa back as new characters each season.

Must be a fan!

Didn't realize season 3 started. I'll catch it eventually. But idk, i haven't really been liking the focus on the gay teenage drama stories.

I'm still watching this, it's fucking great! There is a bit of teenage drama, but as everything else is so amazing I can easily tolerante it. A must see for fans of the movies. It's simply amazing seeing Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly and Fiona Dourif still giving it all after all these years.

Me too! I mostly know him from Final Destination and Idle Hands but he's actually a really good actor and its great to see him do all these different roles... he'll die, of course haha but he will be back I hope!
