Like I said earlier in the thread, I don't know if this show will get a Bluray release.

Plus the sets are soo cheap, check the OP.

I'm cheap! and the sets will be even cheaper when they're package together, ALL FIVE OF THEM!!

Peeping episode 2 now.

Sometimes, the (mostly?) natural lighting makes some stuff hard to see...

It's ok though, add to the gritty-ness.

I think if I rewatch it now I would be a bit distracted by the music, I've gotten quite familiar with the Explosions in the Sky stuff since I started watching the show and I would keep noticing the tracks.

wat! I fucking love them! Do they use a lot of their music in the show!

Oooooooooo

The show is FULL of their music.

I'm pretty sure they do the music for the show.

Edit: They did the music for the movie, and their music is used quite often in the show.

Yeah, i just watched the Pilot again and i recognised all the tracks. I wouldn't say it was distracting though. They fit each scene really well.

I totally didn't remember the "Black Sabbath" moment between the mayor and Street. :lol

One complaint: AAAAAAARGH at the age retconning. In the Pilot Landry mentions he, Julie and Matt are in the same English class and in another episode Julie is seen in a class with Lyla, Riggins, Street, Smash and Matt. I could wank that it was a mixed year class or something, but still... >_>

If they could retcon Matt into a freshman again...*shrugs* I'll take it :).

Edit: Just finished episode 3. The only disappointment I have with the Voodoo storyline is
they never really made it Matt vs. Voodoo. It was mostly team vs. Voodoo or Smash vs. Voodoo. I would have loved to see more scenes between Matt and Voodoo.

About to make breakfast; and had my batteries for my 360 controller charging all night, just gotta put them back in-then I'll be ready to DO THIS.

And by "this" I mean episode 4 and the deleted scenes on disc 1.

Just finished watching the third episode, the show's pretty enjoyable, only thing i don't really like are the "teen dramas" moments, like
Tim and Lyla, seriously? That was stupid and cliché as hell, imho
.

That kinda was, but it plays out great and realistic. I was a bit disappointed too, but the fallout is great and far-reaching.

And I wouldn't classify it as "teen drama," that has a negative connotation. Just "drama" fits better.

For some reason*, my wife did not take to this show, so she didn't want to watch it after a couple of episodes of the s.1 DVD set. I pre-ordered s.3, and I'll pick up s.2 soon.

*It doesn't have cops or lawyers.

Yeah, i was more implying that, that particular moment felt like a teen drama : )

Anyway, watching episode 4 right now, i already hate the new guy (Voodoo? what kinda name is that?).

You're supposed hate Voodoo, and root for my main man Matty Saracen :D .

Uhgh, Matty just got his helmet taken off :/.

Edit: How is Julie going back and forth to the market with no license? :lol

Just finished 4, <3 Matt. And his burgeoning love-story. One of the sweetest, realistic...est, and just plain awesome..est romances in the history of TV.

Same here, pretty good episode, but i'm still thinking that the whole
Tim & Lyla thing
is lame.

By the way, Kyle Chandler is awesome
and Julie is hot

Like I said, I'm not the biggest fan of Tim in S1, and that storyline takes a while to really get going, but it's worth it.

Julie is the hottest girl there, and like Speeding said, her boobs get bigger and better every season!

And Kyle Chandler is the BEST actor on TV. Very few on his level.

wish i had time to participate. maybe i'll get back to it in the next few weeks.

hard to top that sensation of awe and discovery when you realize just what a fantastic show this is during that first season.

the balancing act he pulls between being a hard-nosed coach, a father figure to the players who don't have one, and a husband/father is inspiring. you are spot-on about him. very talented.

I had the same reaction. I was never a fan of that subplot, although it's much more bearable on rewatch. Minka Kelly's acting also didn't help. It is such an obvious and clichéd development, but it is dealt with in a rather mature and realistic manner and leads into some interesting character interactions. In the end it is kind of worth it.

whoa there dude. whoa.

how about you wish that on heroes or something instead? to say that in a FNL thread...whoa.

I would be in but I've lost my Season 1 boxset.

Or more likely it was stolen by one of my friends who I got hooked on it :lol

I'll be there in spirit. (Coach playing Table Tennis in the garage with Julie - scene of the forever)

I'm on the third episode of season 2, and I've decided that I hate Julie.
:lol :lol :lol

Took that long? Episode 1 did it for me.

Don't worry, you'll love her more than ever in S3.

Edit: In fact, you'll be satisfied with her predicament soon enough.

Just started episode 5.

That Matt/Julie scene in the parking lot...<3.

The best part is the end where he mumbles "stupid" and shakes his head at himself :lol .

Edit: Oh man I forgot about the hospital scene T_T.

Welcome to the club team dude.

WELCOME TO THE PARTY, PAL.

But for reals tho, S3, Julie <333

I find we often agree on things.

Just finished episode 5. Such a feelgood ending until the last shot :lol.

My boy Matty stepping UP!

Ehh? Lyla's flatchested through the entire Pilot. You get to finally see some boobies in episode 5 (and they're meh). Julie's are always on display, and they rock.

Hey there. She played the fake Kara on the season 3 finale of Smallville, and Sam's girlfriend in the first episode of Supernatural.
